Well, we think and hope it really has this time! Luke and Cricket got to have some pool fun the last couple of days, and that will only be the beginning of much more fun all summer long.

We hope you never get tired of the pool photos, because I’m sure we’ll be sharing a lot more as the summer goes on. The K9 Crew certainly never gets tired of playing in it!

Has summer “officially” arrived where you are? What will your dogs be doing to stay cool?
You’ve caught some incredible photo’s my friend. Enjoy your summer – I do believe it is safe to say she is here to stay for a few months.
We actually cooled back off a little bit, but it’s still plenty hot in the sun! We hope you have a great summer too!
Summer heck, we’re sweltering it’s the dog days already, 95 degrees. I’m thinking our pool will be out real soon and I must might get wet. Not! Love Dolly
Luke says you don’t know what you’re missing, Dolly! Ha, all he does is get his feet wet anyway! We had just a few hot days in the 90’s, and now we’re back to 70’s. I’m sure the 90’s will be back soon enough though.
Summer has definitely arrived for us, too. Very hot. Unfortunately Ruby doesn’t like water at all. Would love to get her a pool but pretty sure she would never use it. Definitely keep sharing your pictures
Looks like Luke and Cricket are having lots of fun! Ash loves swimming in our pool, but Teddy won’t have anything to do with the water!
It’s funny how many dogs either love or hate the water. We could never get our beagle Kobi in there either.
What fun! Glad it’s finally pool time.
That’a a fantastic doggy pool with thick, sturdy sides.
We were really lucky to find this pool, they don’t make them anymore so they’re very hard to come by. I like that it also has a plug….no stepping on the side like with the flimsier kiddie pools!
They sure are enjoying themselves! Shadow and Callie never did like the kiddie pool I bought for them when they were youngsters. Ducky loves the one at daycare, but she won’t be going back there for a while. Maybe I’ll get her a cheapie at Target the next time I’m there. We’ll see.
To answer your questions: (1) keep the pool pix coming, and (2) our summer started a few weeks ago.
Yeah, I think your summer started around the time I was down that way! It was tough to come back to our cool weather, so I’m glad summer finally found it’s way here.
Those kiddie pools can be pretty cheap, and maybe Ducky would enjoy having one while she can’t go to daycare.
Great pool action photos!!!! Believe it or not, all of our Labs in the history of our family have rejected kiddie pools that we buy for them. I think that it’s partly that it never goes over 80° in our mountain home. They love swimming in ponds and lakes though!
Have fun in the pool!!!!
It’s funny how some dogs like ponds and lakes, but not pools. Maybe pools like ours are just boring for them, because they prefer to swim!
We’re working on learning to like the pool. So far, Rye will stand in it and splash and chomp the water. Barley is resistant to putting all 4 feet in at once. Nobody has lounged in the pool yet. It’s supposed to be in the 90s this week, though, so maybe that will change.
Cricket is the only one of any of our dogs that has ever laid down in the pool. It’s so ironic, since she doesn’t like swimming, but the ones that like to swim won’t get all the way in the pool water!
How fun! Summer isn’t quite here yet, but I feel like it’s close. My two resist getting wet in almost any form, so we don’t use pools. We have some luck with a cooling mat, but for the most part, the dogs just retreat to the basement rec room when the weather heats up. It’s always cool down there.

A nice cool basement room always works too! That was our beagle Kobi’s preference. We don’t have any basement rooms at our new house, but the kitchen tile floor stays pretty cool since it doesn’t get any sun, when they need it.
When we adopted our last dog, Shadow, we used to attend a reactive dog play group at the SPCA. They had a pool in the yard. And it was awesome.
It was thrilling to see how much fun everyone had.
That’s my long answer to say, “You better believe I want to see more pool pictures! They’re fabulous!”
So glad you enjoyed them, we’ll be sure to keep them coming! 🙂
We’ve been fairly cold, up until this week. Time will tell if it sticks around. They sure look like they are having fun.
Right now they are saying just a few days of heat and humidity, and then back to more normal temperatures. As long as it’s sunny, we’re OK with that!
You two are ready for that pool party!
It will be one long pool party all summer long! 🙂
That looks like so much fun! Enjoy, Pups!
Bring on the fun!!
It looks as if the pool invigorates Cricket back to puppyhood! I never get tired of pool pics!
I’m glad to hear that! Yes, the pool definitely gives Cricket some puppy energy! She didn’t want to stop playing ball today, but we try to limit her so that her joints don’t get sore.
Good job filling up your pool
Lily & Edward
Yeah I love summer! The gang looks like they love it too. Have a fun summer in the pool.
Such a cool pool, too! Gotta love those pool pawties. â›±
I’m not sire Torrey would do that. She will wade in a river or stream, but never had the chance of a pool.
Love the pool photos! It’s been really nice in Maryland the past couple days, but we’re heading into a heat wave next week. Too bad our Layla has no interest in playing in a pool.
Well, a lot of dogs just prefer to stay inside and maybe lie on some cool floors! Our beagle Kobi was like that….you couldn’t even bribe him into the pool with a treat!
Pool is open! It’s too hot here to have much fun outside, sadly. Enjoy your weather!
So far, it’s enjoyable, but the humidity is coming, so I’m sure we’ll be saying it’s too hot here soon enough too!
I’m sure summer is on the way and I can’t wait to have my furst pool party… I hope I will like my pool as much as Luke and Cricket…
We hope so too, Phenny, and can’t wait to see how it goes!
