Hehe what a great picture.
Thank you! 🙂
Those Guinea hens are sure cute!
They really are, funny looking though they may be!
Eh, the guinea doesn’t look mad, just looks like a Guinea! But, homemade suet??? Awesome! I also never thought of that with non wild birds, but makes perfect sense!
Pecking at it gives them something to do too, which they need on these long cold days when they’re stuck inside more.
Are the guineas not allowed where the chicken is at? How do you make homemade suet? That would be cool to hang in a tree for the birds.
They are allowed in there, and can go anywhere the chickens can! I plan to tell more about the suet in another post, but basically you just melt leftover fat and add a bunch of other stuff, seeds and herbs, to it.
I didn’t realize chickens ate suet. I always think of it as being for woodpeckers 🙂
I know, right? While I use a few different ingredients, it’s basically the same thing. The first time I was filling a wild bird feeder with sunflower seeds, I couldn’t believe how nuts the girls went over them!
That is super cute peeking through like that!
The gleanie doesn’t look pleased at having to wait outside in the cold!
You are probably right about that!!
What a great capture…and that guinea does look a bit jealous LOL
He’ll get his turn! 🙂
So cute!!
xoxo,
Bell Fur Zoo Mama
How cute…at least they take turns. Happy Hump Day.
Well, MOST of the time they’re patient about it. LOL
Have to wait your turn. What a great shot.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Thank you, and thanks for hosting!!
the outsider chick has a plan right? it looks promising ;O)
It may involve pulling on someone’s tail feathers! LOL
The one outside doesn’t look very friendly. Probably wants to get to the food.
I’m sure he (or she) does! The guinea hens seem to just have these faces where they always look mad, at least whenever I take pictures anyway. LOL
