Sunday was our last day of “staycation” and this was the scene in the early afternoon:
It just goes to show that staycations can be just as tiring as vacations, and it wasn’t long before I joined Luke on the couch and the Dadz flopped into the overstuffed chair next to us, where we watched the Nascar race and had a little bit of a snooze ourselves!
*You still have three days left to enter our giveaway for a Molly Mutt dog bed (which can be a cat bed too!) and bolster pillow, seen in the photo of our beagle Cricket above! Click here to read our review and enter to win!
Isn’t that what staycations are, naps? Love Dolly
Well, they SHOULD be, but ours wasn’t! Though I do remember the Dadz taking a few when he could…..
Oh yes staycations can be rough…lol.
Looks like everyone needed a rest day to end their staycation.
We certainly did – it was quite the week, especially since we had company at the end of it. I think that’s the one thing that wore me out the most; not sure about the dogs!
Staycations are exhausting as you try to get everything done at home that you can so you have to go back to work to relax.
You are so right, JoAnn! Even with my little nap Sunday afternoon I was still exhausted Monday morning when I went back to work. Now that I’m back into the work week I’m more rested – LOL.
Looks like a very productive staycation!
They all look pretty tuckered out after that staycation. π
They miss out on a lot of nap time when we’re home, partly just because they have to follow us around all the time! LOL
Staycations can be lots of fun! I hope that reality didn’t hit too hard when you had to go back to work today!
Oh, it did, way too hard. LOL
We don’t like the last day of staycations cause it’s the last day
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
Staycations are the best! There’s no dress code, meals are whenever you want them. And when it’s all said and done, you’ve saved a ton of money. π
You hit that exactly right, Cathy! I don’t think I had to put on make up at all until the very end of the week when we had our party. LOL
We would love a nice staycation. Just a week or so of nothing planned, but it doesn’t appear to be in our deck of cards.
Wow! Lots of napping going on! Vacations and Staycations are made for napping.
I’m not much of a napper, but my hubby totally agrees with you (and the dogs too)!
Likes like a good vacay to me.
Perfect way to spend the day!
The dogs all look comfy! Sheba asleep on the floor reminds me of Callie! My big girl’s favorite spot was on the bathroom floor, next to the tub. It was nice and cool all year long. Now Shadow goes in there at times to get away from Ducky. ????
Hope y’all had a great week!!
Sheba definitely loves the dining room floor the best. But she’ll follow me wherever I go too, which is something she didn’t used to do.
What a perfect way to spend some time off…………relaxing…………keeping cool…………I love Staycations and Mom and Dad say they spend a lot less money on them than Vacations too!
Love, Sammy
With all the money we’re spending on the house improvements, there’s definitely none left over for vacations! π
it’s the perfect sunday picture… efurrybuddy has a comfy place while watching tv :o) Life is good at Casa Luke&Crew :o)
That looks like a great way to spend the day! It is too hot to do much else. βΊ
