Lest you think our guinea hens are crazy squawking birds all of the time, like seen in our recent post “Welcoming Committee“, I thought I’d follow that up by sharing a video I took of them recently at their sweetest. They were so happy to finally have some bare ground and plants to peck at again, they were happily singing as they did so. It’s a short video, and be sure to turn up the volume!
We hope your weekend is full of more sweet singing than loud squawking!
LOVE love love guinea hens, yours are so lucky to go bomb around. Mine are still in a enclosed pen, maybe in the spring mine can come out.
We’ve been having a warmer spell here, and they are so happy! It is so fun to have them in the yard, I can just sit at my computer and watch their antics out the window!
They do sound contented!
I enjoyed hearing their sweet chirping so much! Thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, thank you!!
They will be so happy for all of your plants and flowers this spring! They are so cool sounding.
They definitely will – I think we all will around here!!
We would be mad about the snow too!
I know, who can blame them, right? π
Awe they are so cute!! It is so crazy it is 80 degrees down here and snowing there. Such crazy weather.
xoxo,
Matt & Matilda
We’ve been fluctuating between cold and warmer, cold and warmer….it sure has been crazy! 80 degrees sounds so nice…..
They are very pretty.
Winter, that trickster! We agree by the way π
They sure are amazing, we’d love watching them!
I’m sure you get used to the noise they make and probably don’t even notice it a lot of the time. Chickens and snow don’t sound like a good mix. I’m sure they are not thrilled.
They are all going to be SO happy when winter is over! Right now we’re getting a warm-up again, so they’re a bit happier…for now. π
even the squawking is like a sweet song, we love all their muzak… and we will stand the sh*tstorms of the hood when our neighbor will have them soon on our meadow… but we will not pay his fine when we get one again ;O)))
You’re going to have so much fun when they come!!
