What are these expectant faces waiting for? We received a bag of Orijen Free-Run Duck Dog treats from chewy.com to try. The crew would like to tell you a little bit about it.
Luke: Hmmm…the bag tastes good, wonder if the treats do too? Hey, Sheba, look – free run duck treats! These must be for hunting dogs like us!
Sheba: Well, our breeds, golden and Labrador retrievers, are hunting dogs, but we don’t really hunt. Plus, you don’t hunt free run ducks, you hunt wild ducks! Kids!
Luke: Whatever, I think these are for us! We could hunt ducks if the Momz let us!
Cricket: Hey, what are these, can I try?
Luke: No! These are for hunting dogs!
Cricket: I am a hunting dog, I’m a beagle!
Sheba: Cricket, you are a rabbit hunting dog, not a duck hunting dog!
Luke: I don’t know, should we let her try them?
Sheba: Nope! Retrievers only!
Cricket: Humph! Jerks!
Sheba: And I say that golden retrievers are better hunting dogs than Labradors, so these are mine!
And the battle is on over who is the best hunting breed, even though none of these dogs actually hunt, unless you count sniffing a bag of treats out of the kitchen cabinets.
The Momz: While they’re battling it out, I’ll tell you more about these treats. Oh, and don’t worry, Cricket got to try them to! They all loved them, of course. You know that I’m big on Made in the USA treats, but we have lots of blog friends up north of us in Canada, and they make quality products up there as well. These treats from Orijen are single ingredient – duck and duck liver only, made from free-run Canadian ducks. They are freeze dried and 100% pure and natural. Orijen prepares their treats in their own kitchens with real food and fresh local ingredients.
You can find these treats on sale at chewy.com right now! We love chewy for their speedy shipping, large variety of products, and their excellent customer service. We purchase our dog and cat food from them, and treats and toys as well.
We are joining the Tasty Tuesday blog hop hosted by Sugar the Golden Retriever and Kol’s Notes. Please visit our hosts along with the other blogs through the links below for more tasty treats.

free run duck, sounds yummy. Great review!
Oooh, those treats sound right up my alley. Now that Merrick has been bought out, I’ll be looking for a new treat. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
We loved so many of Merrick’s treats! But I just can’t in good conscience give my money to Nestle Purina, even if Merrick does retain their independence.
LOL funny stuff. I am glad the dogs liked them!
Those look like some yummy treats!
Aww cute conversation! 🙂 I heard ducks are so good for dogs! 🙂 Sounds like a great product to try! 🙂

ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
OMD! I can eat duck! It is a cool protein so I will be telling mom to order these today!
I like the texture of these freeze dried treats a little more than others too. They seem to break apart easily, without crumbling, and that makes them great for training too.
We love these, too! Great review!
We love these too. For nose work, we often have the wild boar ones. Yummy stuff!
We will definitely have to try some of the other flavors. No one can argue over who is the better wild boar hunter! 🙂
did you wait that the ducks start to run out of that bag? this treats must be good, I’m sure… and this happy Luke face is the proof :o)
