A note from the Momz: The photo above right was taken on one of the few cold days we have had and that’s all the snow we’ve gotten so far this winter. The crew is aware they are not going to get their first Christmas wish! We are expecting very warm temps (50’s to 60’s) and the only precipitation we’re going to see for Christmas Eve and Christmas is rain! They’re OK with that, because we’re pretty sure they’ll have their other wish. Sheba got her stitches out last Thursday, and everything looks good other than a small seroma (fluid buildup). The vet advised she should stay quiet until that clears up. It goes down a little bit every day so we have high hopes that by Christmas day she’ll be back to playing again!

I hope they got a New Year’s wish. 🙂 We had a bit of snow yesterday, just enough to cover the ground a wee bit and it’s cold again. I would like winter to be winterish. 🙂
I hope Sheba is feeling better! Happy New Year to you and yours Jan!
I was hoping we’d get a bit more snow than we did (we got about 4-5 inches), because I don’t think it will last too long. I like to have some snow on the ground, but I could do without the really cold weather….enough snow to make walking in the woods easier (our woods are a mess of fallen trees and branches and snow evens them out) is good.
Oh, I actually found a tick on Sheba a week or so ago! Now, that is too warm for winter!
Happy New Year to you and your family as well, Jodi!
I am glad you guys had a great Christmas!! Ours was quiet so I’m happy. Although I did kinda miss the family gatherings of my childhood.
Hope the fluid has gone down around Sheba’s stitches by now enough for her to be more active. Give your Golden Girl some extra love for me! But don’t leave out her furry siblings!
I’m glad to hear Sheba is healing well, I’m sure the seroma will slowly go away. I love seeing her kibitzing from the deck! Temps are ridiculously warm here too – 71 degrees on Christmas Eve!! On the one hand it’s good for Daisy’s healing – she doesn’t have to work her way through snow or run the risk of slipping on ice. On the other hand I don’t like balmy Christmases – I love snow!
I like a white Christmas too. But when I looked back to last year, at Christmas time we mostly had ice in our yard! That makes it impossible for the dogs to safely play, so I guess I’d rather have none. Anyway, we’ve got a snow storm coming on Tuesday with a few inches expected!
So glad Sheba is doing so well and hope she can enjoy some Christmas playtime! We’ve got the same crazy weather here which makes it hard to believe it’s Christmas! Wishing all of you a very merry Christmas!
We have had nothing but rain here. Phooey. Glad to hear Sheba is doing well.
Really pleased Sheba is doing better, such a worry as we love all our furry children so much. Have a great Christmas playing with or without snow.
So glad Sheba is feeling better! Merry Christmas!
Thank you, we hope you had a merry Christmas as well!
We are having silly weather in IL, too. It was almost 60 today! Merry Christmas
I tried to get around to everyone to say Merry Christmas, but I just didn’t make it everywhere! I hope you had a very merry one and have a Happy New Year as well!
Pawesome wishes! We hope you have a very Merry Christmas 🙂
xoxo,
Ginger, Matt & Matilda
so glad Sheba is doing well! We are with you about the snow…not a chance of it snowing in Michigan…in the 50s!
Have a great Christmas, peace and love to your whole family!
Kilo the Pug and I are loving the balmy Toronto weather. We are not fans of snow and cold. He is wishing for treats, toys and lots of hugs. We hope your sis Sheba is OK soon. Merry Christmas XS
We hope you get what you ask for…though here, we won’t be getting any snow. It’s been too darn warm. We just hope it doesn’t rain on Christmas.
It is crazy warm and Christmas Eve is supposed to be close to 65!! What!!
We just started getting some snow. Paws crossed it sticks around! We have our paws crossed for Sheba too!
I hope Santa brings everything you asked for Christmas. Have a happy holiday.
UGH!! I know what you mean!! Would you believe we STILL have no snow???
It’s going to be the first green Christmas we have had in a long long long time. 🙁
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
We haven’t had snow since 1960. I have never understood its appeal.
LOL….you’d have to ask my dogs…I’m honestly not that into it myself. Hope you had a great Christmas!
So sad, no snow for the dogs. Crazy weather you guys are having.
It is our warmest Christmas too. People were out shopping in shorts yesterday! I pray that Sheba will be fine and out in the yard playing really soon. ♥ ♥
We are going to have the warmest Christmas Eve on record, no snow either!
My boys up here in Canada are also wishing for some snow but doesn’t look like that’s in the plans. Until then, they wait…
Merry Christmas!! 🙂
Great news about Sheba! Really sounds like she’s on the mend! Can’t wait to see pics of her romping in the yard again. So sorry about your weather. Seems everyone who is accustomed to chilly weather this time of year is just the opposite. Here in SC we’re warmer than usual – I believe our Christmas temps are supposed to be around 79 degrees. We’ve decided to embrace it by going to the beach in the morning to clown around for a bit before opening presents. Should be hilarious. Merry Christmas my dear friend…
Oh, the beach on Christmas, now that sounds fun! 🙂 We are expecting our first snow storm on Tuesday….hope to have some photos of the dogs (especially Sheba) enjoying it!
We don’t have any snow either…
Unfortunately for us are warm temps mean fog, drizzle and gloom. We would much prefer the bright white snow and clear blue skies. I hope all of you get your wishes, especially Sheba. Love Dolly
Oh Sweetie what a shame you have no snow..i would settle for cold but sadly our weather is nuts also! so i guess Santa can’t deliver that one..we are glad Sheba has her stitches out and they are settling down..we also hope soon she is up to some play time..you never know Santa has tricks up his sleeve all the time..Loves Fozziemum xxxxxx
