One of my favorite things about Sunday mornings is just relaxing with the dogs. Dad gets up early and takes care of all the crew, and I get to sleep in a little bit if I can. Once I’m awake he brings me up coffee and the girls will follow him up and we’ll all watch the news in bed. Some mornings the girls will stop and grab a toy on their way up!
Sheba is eyeing Cricket’s toy, thinking she has a better one than hers:
Eventually when Cricket is not paying attention, Sheba makes her move and gets what she wants!
Cricket leaves and a few minutes later comes back with another toy!
“Well, I’ve finished de-stuffing this one, I wonder if I can get the other one back?”
Sheba is onto that, and leaves with her toy, which by the way, also got pulled apart. Cricket soon follows so I guess that signals it’s time for us all to get up and start our day!
Many thanks to our blog hop hostess, Dachshund Nola.
I guess the links for the hop are not available today!
Dogs are so funny – they always want what the other dog’s got! Sounds like a lovely start to the day. We all sleep in, or if I wake up I lay there and read while the hubs and Rita sleep in. It’s wonderful!
Now that would really be nice….to have dogs that want to sleep in! Ever since we got Kobi, hubby no longer gets to do that! 🙂
Sunday morning snuggles are the best!
Yes, we love our routine! 🙂
Very cute. Sounds like the perfect Sunday morning. 🙂
One good thing about winter is that it gives us an excuse to lounge around a bit more on the weekend mornings!
Sundays sure are the best, love the photo’s 🙂 xxoxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Thanks, you two! If only every day could be Sunday, right? 🙂
xxoo
they entertain themselves and entertain us too! Cute.
It is so much fun to watch them!
That’s a nice way to start the day!
It certainly is! 🙂
Hehe they sound like very busy pups!
Not all the time though….sometimes they come back to bed in the morning and all we hear is snoring! 🙂
Beautiful dogs. Have a lovely Sunday.
Thank you! I hope you are enjoying your Sunday also!
We love Sundays around here too – with or without stuffies to de-stuff!!
Kitty hugs, Sammy
There are many ways to relax, right Sammy, de-stuffing is only one of them! 🙂
You humans don’t get it…whatever the other dog has is always better than what you have. My sisters and I are always stealing and stealing…just what we do 😉
You’re right, Emma, I think I should know that by now!!
Great way to start every day! Life gets so busy we don’t always start out relaxing and kicking back with the dogs though.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could start every day that way though? 🙂
Morning snuggles in bed are the bestest *Waggy tail*
They certainly are, Alfie!
Adorable! Wooooowoooooo!
Thanks, Ku!!!
How funny! Dog’s are such silly creatures :)_ Nailah used to do that with her big bro Harper all the time.
They are silly. Sometimes Cricket will growl playfully if Sheba is looking at her toy, and then next thing you know she’ll put it down and let Sheba take it!
That’s the perfect morning. Just like kids with the toys.
I know, and they are just so much fun to watch!
What great lazy morning, I too wanted to stay in bed. When it’s 10 degrees out I want to just stay inside. Enjoy your Sunday.
I think that was our starting temp this morning too. Plus we’ve got over 20mph wind so who knows what the wind chill is? At least the sun is shining for a change! But I’ll still be hibernating. 🙂
We plan to relax today too … its very cold. I see you still got Chaser toy too. ENjoy your relaxing Sunday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
It is very cold and windy here too. The dogs wanted to play outside in the couple inches of snow we got, but it is awfully cold out, and Sheba hates the wind anyway. Enjoy your relaxing too!
