It’s no secret that I love the outdoors, and share that love with our dogs. I prefer living out in the country and couldn’t imagine ever living anywhere else. Our house is full of windows so we can feel like we are as close to nature as possible all the time. We’ve made our yard into an oasis of sorts for the dogs as well; with a huge yard to play in or just hang out.

This love of nature leads to the desire to preserve that beauty in whatever ways possible. If I were politically active I’d probably be called a tree hugger! We plant fresh vegetables and flowers here, and I now only garden organically. The need to protect our environment by avoiding toxins and chemicals goes beyond just the outdoors…it means putting only natural products into our bodies as well. What goes for me goes for the pets too, we try to eat as many whole fresh foods as possible. If you saw yesterday’s post (A #TongueOutTuesday Quiz), which was a fun lead in to today’s, you saw just what we like to feed the dogs for treats (if they’ll eat them!). I can’t tell you that I’ve eliminated every bad thing from our diets that I should, but we try to improve all the time.
It’s not surprising that a company like Only Natural Pet® would come to my attention. I was a customer long before they offered us the opportunity to try their new holistically formulated dog food Canine PowerStew ™. We have purchased many of their natural flea and tick products, and some of their treats are among our favorites for training.
Only Natural Pet® was founded over 10 years ago and is concerned with our pets’ health, vitality, and quality of life. Their products have been specially formulated by a holistic veterinarian, and they are 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed.

Canine PowerStew™ is made in the USA with high quality protein rich meat as the first ingredient. It is grain and carrageenan free (an ingredient used in many foods that is believed to cause upset stomach in some pets), and biologically appropriate for dogs of all lifestyles. Our lifestyles here are active, so we need the healthiest food possible to keep our dogs feeling good and raring to go! This food has not only natural proteins, but amino acids and essential fatty acids. It’s all put together in an appetizing stew with big chunks of meat and hydrating broth as well. I don’t know about you, but when I open a can of dog food now, that’s just what I want to see; something that looks like real food that I would eat myself!
Our dogs don’t eat canned food daily here, rather we add it to their kibble as a special meal once or twice a week. They wait patiently for the Dadz to dish it out, but they get pretty excited when those bowls leave the counter! They were not disappointed with the Canine PowerStew one bit…they ate every juicy morsel of meat and veggies and licked up the gravy as well.

Canine PowerStew™ comes in three delicious flavors: Chicken & Liver Feast, Turkey & Duck Feast, and Beef & Lamb Feast. Having these different flavors available makes rotational feeding easier; that means switching out the main proteins in their diet which is believed to be healthier and can reduce the development of food allergies. We switch between proteins for our dogs’ kibble and try to do the same with their canned food as well.
Healthy food and a healthy environment lead to healthy pets, and Canine PowerStew™ fits into our natural lifestyle. You can find Only Natural Pet® on Facebook and Twitter as well.
Canned foods were never a pleasant experience with Harley – but Luke makes it look so tasty…
Canned foods don’t agree with Harley? We always split a can three ways with the dogs, and mix it with their kibble, I think it settles better that way. They really do love this stuff.
Oh gosh! I don’t give my dog canned food regularly either, but when I do buy it he loves it! It’s like a special treat. I’ve been trying to buy more canned food for my cats lately because I know it’s healthier for them, and they of course love it too.
I see this food was a hit with your crew! Cute!
Oh, you’re lucky….our cat Sam is SO picky, she’d rather eat dry food than canned! We try to get her to eat more canned food, but it’s tough to find ones she likes.
Looks like Mr. N would like it too!
That looks super yummy. I bet they wished they got it more than a couple of times a week….lol.
I imagine you’re right about that! 🙂
Never heard of this food but sounds and looks great.
We do the rotational thing too. (I say we…. but I”M the one that buys it all!) Rita usually gets some homemade organic doggy soup w/ her kibble, but sometimes I don’t have time to make it and buy some good canned stuff instead. Will have to look out for that.
Yes, I buy all the pet food too, but the hubby does the actual feeding, so I can’t complain. Luke is happy with just some green beans or something added to his kibble, but the girls won’t eat those. Homemade organic soup sounds awesome! I wish I had more time to make more homemade stuff for them, but at least there are good quality foods out there like this for them, the next best thing.
We eat pretty healthy, and so does Mom, but she says it is good to eat something one shouldn’t now and then. This food sounds real good despite being healthy.
Your Mom is right, we can’t be good all the time! We have to enjoy special unhealthy treats every so often!
That is one cool store
Lily & Edward
They really have some great stuff there!
That sure does sound tasty!!!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
The dogs definitely thought so! Sometimes I’m tempted to try it when it looks that good….hee hee.
THat sounds yummy and I love your new bag! It resembles my new tattoo! ♥
It does, doesn’t it! I’ve always wanted to get a tattoo of some sort with paw prints and hearts. I’m too chicken though!
They do look pleased to be getting that special meal!
And that pool looks like lots of fun!
They were very pleased with that meal for sure! They spend a lot of time in that pool in the summer, it’s one of the best things we ever got for them I think.
WOW – can sure tell that food is EXTREMELY yummy and the dogs can’t wait to get their share! If I was a woofie I’d want some too!
Hugs, Sammy
They do make cat food too, we might have to see if our picky Sam would eat that!
it looks super tasty and I would even accept the slow feeding bowl for that food :o) (I removed the bone shaped thingy from my bowl hehehehe). thanks for a great review, dig in and enjoy this egg-stra power in a can :o)
easy rider
Thanks, Easy! Ha ha, I bet this crew would remove the bone thing too, if only they could, but we got the bowls where it doesn’t come out! I almost tried one of those removable ones too, now I can see why it’s a good thing I didn’t. 🙂
