Luke and Sheba were at it again, and I couldn’t resist taking some more video of them playing together. Whether it’s indoors or out, they are always entertaining us. I try to keep our videos shorter, but there was just no good place to edit this one. They are Two of a Kind, Thick as Thieves, Frick and Frack. One of the toys from last week’s “Squeak Off” makes another appearance, and make sure you watch Cricket in this video too. She has her own way of making me smile.
When I see them playing like this it warms my heart. This is what is keeping Sheba healthy, what keeps her young. When I see her playing like a puppy it just brings a smile to my face, and takes my mind off all of the stresses lately.
I hope it will do the same for you!
The look on Cricket’s face is precious….lol. I am not so sure Sheba is playing. I would not want to take that toy away from her if I were Luke…lol.
It is really hard to tell with Sheba sometimes, so I do occasionally make her stop just to be on the safe side! Luke does seem to know when not to push it though – he’s a smart boy!
I’m not sure which was funnier. Watching the two of them playing or watching Cricket watch them. When Luke started biting the couch, I was like…um..is he really biting the couch? And Jan’s okay with that? LOL Watching my guys play (which they can’t do right now) is one of the highlights of my day.
LOL….that couch has been chewed on many times when Luke was a puppy (the stairs hide the worst of it) and it will not be going with us when we move. That’s why I did let him do it for a bit, but I know it’s not good to encourage that behavior, because we do have another nice couch that I won’t want him chewing on!
I know, I hated it when Sheba was recovering from her surgery and I had to stop them from playing. π
Just wonderful and great memories to have in a video.
It’s something to see how some animals bond together like they do, it’s a very special relationship for sure. Love Dolly
They make pretty evenly matched play mates. I’m guessing that was Sheba growling. The growls and the lip twitches make her look like she means to keep that toy!
Yes, that was Sheba growling. She puts on quite a show when she’s playing with toys. We do watch closely to be sure she IS always playing because she can be pretty scary sometimes! Once in a while I tell her to “take it down a notch please” – LOL.
Watching dogs play is one of my favorite things to do. It makes me forget stress and focus on the moment.
Awe! That is so sweet! It’s good you’re taking lots of pictures and videos. I wish I had more videos of my family dog. <3
Thank goodness for the blog that motivates me to do these things. I never used to take video before it, except way back when we had a big video camera for a while.
Aww, they’re so cute together. Mr. N also really enjoys Sage’s company.
They play together so well! Me and Ernie are like that most of the time, too. ~Wally
So sweet how they play/share!!
So cute! Such great buddies. π
Sweet Cricket! She is so patient. I don’t handle having my naps interrupted nearly as well as she does π
She’s not always that patient. Sometimes she snarls at Luke when he goes anywhere near her when she’s trying to nap!
Ha!!! I LOVED this!! Luke asked for it! He egged Sheba on to play the game and Sheba won!!! This was so cute!
I love that you noticed that Sheba did try to ignore the toy initially, but Luke had to push it! He actually does that to her a lot, shoving a toy in her face, but she doesn’t always go for it. Sometimes she just ignores him! He definitely got what he asked for though! π
So cute! Playing is good for the soul
Lily & Edward
They are sooo cute
That is so nice for them both to be such awesome buddies! Hope Cricket isn’t jealous but she probably is happy to do her own thing.
Sometimes I feel bad that Cricket might feel left out. She’s usually pretty tired in the evening though, and not interested in playing. She plays much harder out in the yard, chasing the ball, than the other two do.
that is like a warm shower of joy… how nice they share a toy… Luke is a gentleman, that’s for sure :o) Even the noise of the toy sounds like a charthit when we watch such cute moments :o)
Cricket is so blasΓ© about the whole thing, it’s like “can’t you two just let me sleep?” β€οΈ Callie and Shadow used to play like that; but Callie usually let Shadow win. It was actually quite sweet. And now, Shadow lets Ducky have a toy if she wants it. She took Callie’s lessons to heart, I guess.
Luke almost always defers to his sisters…he’s such a good little brother!
I love when my boys rough house too. That is a great video and I love how Cricket couldn’t care less! BOL! BOL!
