Last weekend Cricket got to meet up with her 2 beagle cousins and go for a hike! It was a beautiful summer day, just perfect for hiking. It was not a long hike, but just right for the two older beagles (and the two older ladies as well……). Cousin Trixie is just a couple of months younger than Cricket…both are almost 11. Pretty little Butterfly Pond is at the end of the trail.
The water looks clean and inviting but we found out it’s kind of mucky at the edge! The Momz was not impressed, but Cricket didn’t seem to mind.

Luckily there is a clean brook back at the picnic and parking area, and I got Cricket in there to clean off some.

I wasn’t able to get a good photo of the three dogs hiking together…they were constantly on the move and all photos came out blurry!

What beautiful pictures and great time
There is no way I could have kept Jax out of that water! Looks like it was a great day.
It looks like a nice place to hike! I wish I could do more of that with my guys!
I don’t do it often enough either!
Trixie and Susie really enjoyed their hike with cousin Cricket. Trixie napped on the way home!
Hoping we can do it again. 🙂
Cricket napped also! Yes, we definitely have to do it again. I was thinking we should do the Bicknell Brook Trail next time. I didn’t think of that until I was driving by it on my way to this one!
Group walk! It’s definitely hard to get good action photos of multiple dogs.
Looks like y’all had a great time!! Maybe especially Cricket. If you ever figure out a way to get a picture of three dogs together that isn’t blurry, please share the trick!! In the almost 3 years that Ducky’s been with us, I think I have ONE picture of the three girls together.
I believe it’s only possible when they’re sleeping, or maybe when they’re lined up for treats (but even then they don’t often stand still!).
Sounds like a great hike with friends. It’s always kind of fun to get a little dirty. LOL
Oh, that’s Rita’s favorite kind of hike – one with water at the end. Even better if there’s mud! 🙂 Fun times!
Looks like a fun time!
Looks like a lovely hike!

Sounds like you had the same kind of day we did at the park last week! Wet paws, moving dogs and lots of shade. Looked like they had a great time! Love Dolly
Oh wow, that is so cool!! These are gorgeous photos!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Cricket that’s a fabulous place… you get black boots for free there… my mom is on the way LOL
What a great outing for the girls. Bentley would have loved to join those beautiful ladies for the day! ♥
And they would have loved to have a handsome hound dog along! 🙂
What a fun day. Even with the mud. LOL
That looks like a wonderful day. Hiking is much more fun when you have some friends to enjoy the trails with.
Oh yes, we would have jumped right into that water and mom would have freaked! BOL! Great pics!
I would have gone in the water too, even though Mom dislikes it when I go into dirty stuff. Looks like a fun Beagle outing!
