These photos were taken in early February which was the last time we had a really big snow storm. My hubby was out plowing the driveway that evening and this guinea hen was up in the tree protesting (it was either Harry or Henrietta, I’m not sure which), all by himself.
I don’t know if he was protesting the sound of the Dadz’ four wheeler, or simply the fact that it was snowing! It was time for him to go to bed anyway, and I think Dadz had to give him a little encouragement to come down from the tree and go to the coop.

Since that time, the snow has been slowly melting and all of the birds have been enjoying finding more and more bare ground to walk on and peck at. They are not going to be impressed today, when another Nor’easter is headed our way, promising to drop probably over a foot of snow! I wonder if he/she will be launching another similar protest by tonight? This time (s)he might get some company! 🙂
Thank you to BlogPaws for hosting the Wordless Wednesday blog hop!
ha, love it, too cute with that guinea in the tree! Not minding the snow here, it is, after all, still winter according to the calendar! As long as you can manage to not drive in it, or do so safely anyway-but so hoping Cricket and Luke might enjoy some more fresh snow for a bit-it will melt before you know it!
Gosh, I wish you could send some of that snow our way. We haven’t had much all winter. Ruby doesn’t like snow much so she doesn’t mind but I would like a little more.
That hen was protesting all the snow! We got a little bit today…but not as much as is headed your way. We hope it’s not as bad as they are saying.
Here’s hoping everyone stays warm and safe. Any extra snow will happily be accepted here. Just in case you get too much. ☺️
We had plenty to spare in this last storm….we should have sent some your way! 🙂
That is too funny, she is protesting 🙂
Not that it did any good! LOL
oh I would like to act like Harry/Henrietta…this weather is awful, but to sit protesting in a tree is an option to scream this winter away …
It’s what I feel like doing too!! 🙂
We talked to my mom and brother last night and they are expecting 9” of snow today! BRRRRR!
Oh boy, hope the next storm isn’t bad.
The only thing I can say is brrrrrrr humbug!
You’ve got that right! 🙂
