Even those that don’t really like to dress up their dogs in clothes or costumes can appreciate a pretty collar, bandana, or other accessory. What Dog’s Best Trend offers is not a bandana, it’s a scarf! It’s not made of cotton in cutesy designs, it’s made of silk in stylish and unique patterns that can’t be found anywhere else. It conveniently comes to your home monthly via a subscription service.

Other than a coat or sweater on Luke for warmth in the winter, we don’t dress up too much around here. I still like to do a little bit though, and I love it when my dogs look pretty or handsome. The scarves from Dog’s Best Trend are made for dogs but with the humans in mind. They are created with style for beauty, fashion, and most of all – fun!
I was thrilled to see these bright scarves in fun colors for fall arrive. We didn’t know what scarves we would get – the Dog’s Best Trend subscription service sends out a secret design monthly so you can be pleasantly surprised each time! I don’t know about you, but often when I shop for accessories for my dogs, I have trouble making a choice. This way you don’t have to worry about that!
The scarf you receive will be unique as well – they can’t be found anywhere else. Not only will your dog be the best dressed on your street or in your town, unless your neighbors subscribe as well, he or she will be the talk of the town!
Sometimes your scarf might be seasonable, sometimes just fashionable, but it will always be the same high quality silk in beautiful colors. Now, my dogs aren’t really fashionistas, they’re more the rough and tumble type, so I wondered how these scarves would hold up to them. One of my biggest beefs with many cotton bandanas I’ve purchased is that the fur often sticks to them, and they don’t hold up in the wash.
I had one that actually came OUT of the wash, not only all wrinkled (I’ll do a lot for my dogs but I draw the line at ironing for them!), but covered with Sheba’s blonde fur that was difficult to get off. So I had to put these scarves to the test and I threw one in with my regular laundry. I’m happy to say it came out smooth and wrinkle free, with not a speck of dog fur stuck to it!
I wondered what inspired Jim Goss to start this subscription service just this past summer. Last fall he and his wife had bought bandanas for the two dogs in their family at the time. They got the usual Halloween themed cotton bandanas in a common pattern, but were disappointed in the stiff cotton and cheesy pattern. They thought designers could do better; why not scarves with great seasonal designs made from quality material? Just a few months later this business was born.
Jim and his wife have their own rescued black lab mix, Fisher, and they occasionally foster dogs as well. When they lost their first dog, Max, who they’d had for 14 years, they made the choice to then adopt older black dogs, who are known to be more difficult to place. They adopted two dogs, Camden and Gage, but after only 18 months lost Gage to cancer. They adopted Fisher before also losing Camden to cancer. We all know what it’s like to suffer those losses, and it’s tough.
You can gather from that story that they are true dog lovers, and that is why a portion of all of their sales are donated to rescue groups. When you visit their website, you can see which group is currently the recipient of their generosity.

They look great on the crew!! My little duo would destroy them in no time. Shadow is fine with bandanas; but Ducky tugs and gnaws at them until they look like something the dog dragged in and I have to cut it off cuz the knot is a mess.
Thank you! I have to watch Luke sometimes with them. I had to take his off when I caught him starting to chew on the knot!
Those are really nice and look great on your doggies.
Those are real pretty scarves, and on the dogs are just great-what beautiful pics of each of them in their scarves, they all look so great!
Thanks, Auntie Lynn!!
I have one of each. My Willow is a total fashionista and Dudley is a tough and tumble type of guy.
The fun of having multiple dogs is the different personalities, I think!
I love the way these bandanas look! *Your blog has been showing up in my spam for some reason. I found them tonight. I moved them to new mail so hopefully, that will stop it.
Thank you for letting me know about the email issue, Melissa. I knew there was a problem with my own gmail, but I was hoping it was just me. I’m not sure moving them to new mail will stop it or not. I’m hoping it will correct itself…I had issues a few weeks ago with certain servers rejecting the emails completely, but that stopped eventually. Sigh….if I have to fix this myself I’m not sure I even know where to begin!
ohhh they are all very lovely and your gang wears them well.
Those are so cute, they all look so stylish. I like that fall colored one the best.
All of the bright colors are my favorite thing about them! Well, that and the nice material!
Wow, those are some nice-looking scarves! If I get these for Layla, she’ll be better dressed than I am 🙂
Ha ha, you’re right, the crew definitely has me out-dressed!
oh you look fabulous!!! that scarves are great! and you are such beautiful models!!! you can rock any catwalk :O)
Very stylish! We only put a winter coat or a raincoat on Daisy out of necessity; we no longer can put sweaters or Halloween costumes on her since her back surgery. She actually prefers nothing on her – even the little Christmas neckwear we put on her for pictures annoys her. But these are great for anyone whose dog isn’t quite so picky!
The girls will put up with scarves or bandanas but that’s about it. Sheba has worn a sweater occasionally, when her side was shaved from surgery, and she did OK, but Cricket stands still like a statue if I put anything like that on her!
