Don’t let the name throw you off, this Tsunami isn’t frightening at all!
Tsunami is a beagle/Jack Russell terrier mix up for adoption through Tall Tails Beagle Rescue in Freeport, Maine. She is an 8 month old puppy who was found living under a restaurant down south. She was rescued and taken to a shelter, then eventually transported north to Maine.
Tsunami was feral and terrified in the shelter environment but is now getting comfortable with people in a foster home. Her foster mother has brought her a long way, but she would do best in a home with at least one other dog and people who understand that she will take time to adjust.
Tsunami is spayed and current on her shots.
More about Tall Tails Beagle Rescue: They are a small non-profit organization founded in 2005. They work to find homes for beagles, beagle mixes, and other dogs (“honorary beagles”) in need. All of their adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, veterinarian checked, up to date on shots, and temperament checked. Their adoption fee is $200. They have adopted out 674 dogs, all of which you can see on Petfinder here.

We hope so too!
What a cutie. So glad she was rescued. Sharing.
I’m so glad they found her too. Thank you for sharing of course!

Thank you!
What a cute pup! I will share and keep my hopes that she will find a loving forever human!
Thank you for sharing, Melissa…we’ll keep our fingers crossed for her!
Great to hear that Tsunami is doing so well in her foster home. Hopefully a permanent home is soon to follow.
I hope so too! Thanks for coming by, Mark!
Well, I do love that name! Don’t think I’ve ever met a dog named Tsunami before. 🙂
There are days I think I could call Luke a Tsunami….LOL!
What a cool and unusual name. I just saw my first feral dog at a shelter a few weeks ago and it was sad. I’m glad Tsunami is doing better and is becoming more relaxed around humans. I hope she finds a forever home with a loving family very soon!
I hope so too. She does have a cool name, I wonder how they came up with it? I’ve never met a feral dog myself, it must be tough to see them so afraid of humans.
I love the name. but it may be a self fulfilling prophesy. The new owners, and i hope there are new owners, should probably change it
I know I would definitely change it, just to be on the safe side! 🙂
I hope Tsunami finds a loving home soon, sharing.
Sheba.

Thank you, we hope so too!

Oh if only. I would so love a beagle, but Hubby says no and realistically with Sampson’s injury he’s very right. I just couldn’t handle another dog. But I can share her. 🙂
Maybe one day things will settle down and you can get a beagle, Jodi. I have a hard time too whenever I see one, but I think we need to stay where we’re at now too.
Thank you for sharing!
