You may not see him dressing up in antlers or an elf hat, or sitting on Santa’s lap, but Luke loves Christmas! He’s just as happy on Christmas eve when the company has all left, but his Christmas Day with the Momz and Dadz is the best. He loves to help us open our presents, and then dig right in to his own!

He doesn’t get a lot (since he’s spoiled year round!), just two toys and a new water dish; but he still had fun with those toys, and then of course enjoyed our family walk.

He also got some turkey from the Christmas dinner we cooked. At the end of the day, we were all pretty wiped out from all the days of parties and prep, and he was happy to lie with me and take a nap (it’s rare that I take naps), even though he’d already had a pre-dinner nap with Dad. We all thought it was a good day!
How was your Christmas – do your pets love it?
I can tell it was a nice day, and having a pup like Luke that’s so involved in everything, makes it that much more fun!! We also took a nap mid afternoon. I come from a long line of nappers, and I love it when the dogs sleep next to me and keep me warm on those chilly afternoons – Heaven for sure!!
I do hope all is well, and ¸¸.•*¨*•*´¨)

My hubby naps every day, and Luke is almost always right there with him (unless I’m doing something in the kitchen – LOL).
Luke is such a snuggler, and he loves it if I even just sit on the couch with him. ♥
What a great Christmas you had. Hope you have a wonderful year.
Thank you, and you as well, JoAnn!
Just precious! Love that “farm raised” dish!
I pretty much can’t resist anything that says “farm”. LOL
It’s wonderful that Luke had so much fun opening presents. It looks like it was a nice day for a walk.
It really was a beautiful morning, it wasn’t even too cold.
It’s fun to see how excited Luke is about Christmas.
I don’t think we’ve ever had a dog, or cat, who enjoys the gift opening quite as much as he does (especially ours)!
Sounds like the Best Christmas, yay! Relaxing and fun, Luke does look like he enjoyed it all, so nice! But…wait…turkey for Christmas??? And we didn’t get that on Christmas Eve??? Darn it! Lol
Love you all!
LOL, Luke was afraid there wouldn’t be any left for him if we shared with the family (it was just a small turkey breast)!
What a perfect Christmas for all of you! Luke sure looked happy. Merry Christmas!
It was such a nice day, after a hectic week before!
Santa was good to you Luke. 🙂
That means I was a good boy all year, right?
Love, Luke
Walks, presents and turkey…What a relaxing way to spend the day!
We really enjoy our quiet family days. ♥
Boy, that braided ring looks like a great chew toy! Seems safe to say you guys had a great Christmas.
I was afraid he wouldn’t like it, since it can’t be de-stuffed. LOL. But he has picked it up quite a few times now.
Like the girls at MyGBGV Life, we had a quiet Christmas. Hubby, my brother, and I went to the 5 o’clock service at church and stayed for the Christmas Eve supper at 6. Ducky got her dinner when we got home. Christmas Day we just sat around – Ducky and I enjoyed the sunshine out in the yard for a while – and then we did the gift exchange after dinner. Ducky got a few new toys and some of the Sojos treats I use for her training sessions. I put her “pressies” in a big bag too, but didn’t wrap them. She never has been one to unwrap her own (though she doesn’t mind unwrapping ours if they smell good).
The presents I bought for Radar have been put aside for our next Golden Boy. I know Radar would want us to do that. Ducky has one of his tennis balls that came with him when he first came to live with us. She doesn’t play with it but she keeps it in her new bed. I think it makes her feel closer to his spirit. It’s the one she used to “steal” from him and then drop a few feet away. 😆
Looks like Luke is very happy with his new toys! I like the new water bowl, too!
I’m glad you had a nice, peaceful day. It sounds like you all enjoyed it, even though I know it was tinged by the sadness of missing Radar. 🙁 ♥
Yay for Christmas! It looks like Santa Paws did you right this year again! Happy howlidays!
Time to start being good for next year! Or do we get a few days off, and get to wait until the new year starts? 🙂
Looks like Luke was sure having a fun time! Hey, the catnip toys we got from your store were the hit of Christmas day here!!!
We are so happy and excited about that!!
And I love Luke. He’s such a handsome pup. You can tell him I love him.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Extra treats for Luke. ♥
It was funny….I did tell him, and when I did he barked and went running to the window! I guess he was hoping you were stopping for a visit. 🙂
We love pretty much anything, but our Christmas was fairly quiet this year. That is fine with us too. Glad Luke had a wonderful family day and loves his presents.
Luke is pretty easy to please as well, but I think the family day was his favorite part. 🙂
Who doesn’t love Christmas with pressies and you got wonderful gifts, Luke! I don’t open gifts. That’s what mom’s are for, right?!
My Mom is always manning the camera, so Dad has to help! BOL
