On the couch between the Momz and Dadz at TV time in the evening is prime real estate around here. We usually have to referee Luke and Cricket; whoever gets there first does not want to let the other one up to join us.
If Cricket is there she lets out a snarl when Luke sticks his nose up there. If Luke is first, low growls are heard from him when Cricket is looking to jump up. The kind of funny thing is that Cricket’s snarls will deter Luke (he’ll usually go to the chair instead), but Luke’s growls don’t scare Cricket one bit. Usually to keep the peace I’ll encourage her to climb up on the other side of me.
That was fine to start, but there was no way she was staying there. The beagle almost always gets what she wants, we don’t call her The Princess for nothing.

They learn to compromise, and next thing you know this is happening.

It wasn’t that long ago that I shared the two girls snuggling out on the patio. Now I just need to get a photo of Sheba and Luke snuggling and we’ll have all three combinations. When in the living room, Sheba prefers to sleep on the floor while Luke likes the couch or chair, so I have a better chance of catching them together at night on our bed. Stay tuned!
That is very sweet.
In our family room, both ends of the couch recline, therefore I’m stuck in the middle sitting on the “hump” while the Boys stretch out on both sides of me. Lee doesn’t even try to compete – he just gravitates to the rocker. LOL
LOL. If one of us humans doesn’t arrive at the couch soon enough, we sometimes miss out and have to go to the chair!
Sweet photos. My gang doesn’t really snuggle, they just wait for one to get up then hit the prime spot
Bentley and Pierre will only snuggle in their car kennel. There is plenty of room but the will use each other as a pillow for their heads. BOL! They are always trying to stretch out and not leave any human room on the couches.
We get that stretching out thing at times too. If I don’t get to the couch early enough, some nights I have to go to the chair. π
Boy that sounds just like me and Taffy, I’m Cricket I always get my way when it comes to being next to dad or mom. And their big joke is that if they’re both on the couch with me in the middle is to start touching each other, I hate that it’s not funny. Love Dolly
Hee hee! Oh, sorry, Dolly, didn’t mean to laugh! You have that last thing in common with Luke. The Dadz and I are not allowed to touch each other without him being involved!
Aw, they share pretty good. But that will happen when they both want the same spot. π
I love seeing them snuggled up together! So cute.
Awe! They are so sweet!
Sweet! We’re learning to juggle that same prize real estate now that we have three as well!
Have you realized yet that there might not be room left for you? π
Mom always gets excited when she finds a couple of us snuggling, especially when we are not the best of friends. These are super sweet photos. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Awww. One of these days maybe I’ll catch Ducky snuggling with Shadow. Stranger things have happened around here so ya never know.
Now that’s what I call pure snuggle sweetness!
so sweet! Have a great Sunday!
That’s nice they have some differences of opinion, but manage to work it out and snuggle in the end.
I remember this two-dog time on the couch…. it sometimes ended very wild, so we decided to give the couch to the dogs while we used recliners…. probably we really were the reason for couch-war, as soon as we disappeared peace came to our house LOL
Happy sunday to all peeps and fourkids of your kingdom :O)
