I know we talk a lot about the weather around here; but when you are outdoors people and farmers it really does affect your day-to-day lives! We’re having trouble keeping track from one day to the next what the weather is going to be; and we really do have to plan our time around it, especially in the spring when there is so much to get done.
Just last week, the daffodils weren’t the only ones hanging their heads around here!

Only a couple days after that, we were all looking and feeling far more cheerful.
Of course, you saw on our previous post this week where we went from there:

One day it’s snowing, a couple days later it’s 60 degrees and sunny (ahhhh…..that was nice!!).

The snow we got, I think about 6 inches or snow up here on our hill, took a couple of days to melt, and there is still a patch of it here and there now, though the current rain will probably wash the last of it away.

The next day after that beautiful one, we were down to 40 degrees and raining (that’s better than snow though!).
The weekend does, however, look like it’s going to be very nice. We’ll be busy getting done what we can, because who knows what will be coming next! 🙂
Thanks to our friends The LLB Gang for hosting the Nature Friday blog hop. Please visit them and other blogs through the links below!
I’m especially detached from what’s going on outside – since there was no where local to really go until some of our parks reopened this past weekend. The Boy has decided we’re going to exercise. Funny. Since HE was the only one complaining tonight about “hurting.” Hahaha.
We woke up again to snow this morning, so indoors is the preferred place to be for sure today!
Good luck with the exercising! 🙂
We don’t have bouts of snow but rain and cold. Pretty flowers.
We’re still just getting it all here. Well, all except for any warmth!
Forty? Degrees? Holy cow! Course given that we’ve approach 90 the past couple of days, I’d take 40 any. day. of. the. week. compared to the heat. You’re right though…Mother Nature has been schizophrenic more often than not lately.
What would be wrong with a little moderation, Mother Nature??
The whole world feels like a roller coaster lately.
That’s for darn sure.
That is some crazy roller coaster, I sure hope the snow stops for you. It’s gonna be in the 90s here later this week.
We’d probably melt at 90 degrees here, our blood is so thick from all the cold. LOL
Oh, and by the way? It’s snowing again today!
The weather is definitely a roller coaster this time of year. Fortunately, we’re currently having a few nice days…but who knows how long that will last.
I think we’ve had about one really nice day in the last 10. 🙁
We’ve been on a roller coaster too, but not one as bad as you. All that snow and then spring flowers and then more snow. I’ll pass on snow.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Lovies to Luke. He knows I love him. ♥
We wanted to pass on it too, but no one listened! LOL
Luke sends his love!
The weather has been crazy here, too, but not in the same way. Easter overnight and then again this past Saturday night, we had tornado WARNINGS. One of those tornadoes on Saturday touched down about five miles to the north and west of us, and was rated an EF2. Thankfully, no one was killed or injured. There was substantial property damage, but that can be dealt with.
I guess I shouldn’t complain then…at least, for the most part, the snow won’t kill us. Even though we feel like it might at this point. LOL
oh wow, mother nature has problems to make a decision LOL
Hormonal! LOL
You have been getting all of the snow and we’ve been getting too much rain. Love your flowers with or without the snow!
I heard you might have seen just a bit of snow down that way this morning! I’ll be watching your blog to see if you did. 🙂
It’s the way it goes in spring, but we are certain snow is done around here. No flowers yet, but things are starting to bud. Hope you have a great weekend.
It just seems to be especially dragging on this year, but I probably say that every spring! We’re getting snow again this morning though, and I do think May snow is just a bit more rare.
We call that yo-yo weather here:)
Its been raining a lot lately here, too…but now that it has become May, we should see lots more of that nice sunshine, and milder temps.
We’re still waiting here….more May snow this morning!
