It took us all by surprise when Snow Mountain was out – guess when – Easter Sunday!! The first guess for our contest was April 24th, so clearly no one, including us, expected it to be gone so soon! We knew it was almost there on Saturday, so Easter morning Luke and I went out to see if we could “navigate” through the gate to the small pen area.

We are so thankful to have our patio and that small pen back, even though now we have some cleanup to do out there! We use that small pen if Luke needs to go out overnight. That door leads into our master bathroom so it’s very convenient, and we don’t have to worry that Luke is going to spend a lot of time wandering the yard in the middle of the night while we’re waiting to go back to bed. Truth is, he doesn’t do that much, he actually rarely goes out in the night, it was a bigger issue when we had our beagles. It comes in more handy with Luke when we have strangers or workers over that might be in that part of the yard. He can still get outside while being separated.

It also works for when the crazy guineas are in the yard, and Luke really has to get out to “use the facilities”! The guineas, however, have gotten in that small pen, and it’s a real challenge to get them out of there!
We will be in touch with the winner of our contest in the next couple of days…Lynn thought she was being optimistic with that date, but even she turned out to be 3 days after the true date!

Itβs hard to believe snow mountain is gone for another year!! Enjoy your spring fun.
We really felt like it would never leave! π
I hate the cold … and I’m so excited about spring!
The chilly temperatures don’t want to give up here!
Now that was quick!! Glad Spring is finally making it to your corner of the US!
It’s taking it’s time to REALLY get here, but it’s always slow around here. We’ll have flowers for Nature Friday next time we join anyway!
I somehow missed the guessing when it would melt π Glad Luke can get into his area now π
Sorry you missed it!
Hooray for Snow Mountain going bye-bye, that’s really good news and you can enjoy Spring now! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Well, we’re now waiting for the rain and chilly temperatures to let up….but hopefully we really get there soon. At least the flowers are finally blooming!
Wow, that was quick! It’s nice to have the entire yard back.
It sure is!
Luke looks so happy, hooray for the end of snow!
We are all happy, but we need it to stop raining now (typical spring)! π
Luke is such a handsome man pup. Yes indeed. I love the idea of containment in the middle of the night if he needs to go out. Brilliant.
Have a fabulous day. Scritches to Luke. β₯
β₯ It really does make life much easier! Today we had a worker in the house, and I was able to just let Luke out into his small pen so he didn’t have to confront the “stranger”. π
And now you can truly enjoy the spring and green grass and spring flowers, Luke!
We really do have green grass and flowers, it’s so exciting!!
Hurrah…no more snow! Now you can truly enjoy the pleasures of springtime. And congrats to the winner. π€©
Now if it would just stop raining and get up above 50 degrees!!!
WOW, that was fast!! Congrats to the winner! And smiles for Luke who can use his pen again!
It was certainly way faster than we expected!!
The snow we had two weeks ago just suddenly disappeared too, but we have snow forecast for Saturday again. We know it will be short lived, and not too much. Glad Luke can now use his pen freely.
We heard rumors of snow here last week too, but luckily none ever showed up!!
oooh how great that the snow is on the way back to northpole… and now you can enjoy the muddy time…oh how we love it!
Since it has not stopped raining, the mud just keeps on coming too! Oh joy!
