It’s time for the Pet Photo Fails blog hop once again, and we have an assortment of photo fails to share this month! There are many ways photos can go wrong, especially when you have pets. When I think of it, between my poor photography skills and the constant movement of the animals, it’s a wonder we ever get any good shots. π
First of all, not long ago I said to a blogging friend that our cat Samantha never played with toys. Of course, that meant Sam had to prove me wrong and when I was working in my office one day, I looked over to see her head in her little basket of toys.
Of course, I needed to get a good photo of this, but that’s pretty impossible when you have a black cat with a bright window behind her. That didn’t stop me from trying, but then it all ended when she pulled this little maneuver:

Luke likes to do his part in contributing to this fun hop too. There’s the ever popular “I’m outta here”…..

…..and I thought it was only people who liked to close their eyes for photographs:

Oh, and the leash wrapped around his leg was a nice touch too!Β
We hope you enjoyed our collection of photos! Which was your favorite – most fun or most failed – photo? Have a great weekend!
Thank you to our friends at TheΒ Cuddlywumps Cat ChroniclesΒ for hosting this fun blog hop! Please visit other blogs through the links below for moreΒ #PetPhotoFails.
Oooh, by far my favorite is Luke with his eyes closed. Of my fails, one of my favorites is from an Easter photo shoot a number of years ago. The way it was framed, it made the dogs look like dinosaurs. LOL
Sometimes the fails can turn out to be the best! Often I’ll run across a photo of Cricket or Sheba with blur or whatever in it….but that shows them being exactly how they were. Those always make me smile.
These are just so darn adorable! I so look forward to what you call ‘fails.’ They always make me smile.
We’re so glad something good can come out of them!! π
MOL! Those are some great fails. But then again, we sure donβt make it easy for the humans to take photos.
It’s like it’s your job to challenge us. MOL
I always have fails, lots of eyes closed too.
Thank goodness for the digital age, right?? π
These are great. I am happy to see Samantha playing π Black cats are hard to photograph. I have 4 and they rarely get blog time.
Indoor photography is especially challenging, and you do great with your other cats at least! Sam’s favorite spots to hang out are always right in front of the windows, which makes it impossible! I do get some good shots of her when she gets outside anyway; but even then she’s always on the move!
Even your photo fails are cute, like Melissa said! I love the one of Luke with the leash wrapped around his leg – Ducky manages to do that a lot, too. ππ
I just hate it when I don’t notice those things before I take the photograph!! LOL
And thank you! β₯
Those are pawsome! That’s my pal Sam! And Luke was pretty impressive. All in all though, they were in focus. Something TW hasn’t mastered.
Oh, trust me, there are plenty of out of focus shots around here too. π
Sam says hi!! β₯
Your photo fails are still cute! Ours are usually disastrous! LOL!
Thank you!! There are a few disastrous ones around here too (more like A LOT), those are the ones you NEVER see. LOL
We get a lot of closed eye shots too when we are outside. Mom thinks it is because of the sun. We always forget this hop since it is only once a month. Bummer.
You are probably right about the sun. If I get the sun behind Luke though, then you can’t see his eyes because of the lighting. I can’t win! LOL
We’d love to see some of your blooper shots, if you can ever remember. π
I think that Luke has taken up meditation – and he practices it when you point your camera at him! Our pups do the same thing… usually if I delay pushing shutter button, I get closed eyes!
I love your Divas!
Oh, I’m sure it’s the fact that I take so long sometimes, he decides to go into meditation mode, or take a nap while waiting. π
Those were good and how cool Sam way having some toy time!
I think you might have been the friend we said that too, so you kind of helped bring that about! π
Lol. Pets are so hard to photograph. Torrey totally knows what’s going on when the camera is out. Sometimes she cooperates sometimes not so much.
Luke does sometimes get excited about the camera coming out, because he knows it means treats. But I think he knows that’s not the case so much when we’re out on a walk! π
