This is how the girls look on a rainy day:
This is how Luke looks on a rainy day:

Rain does not deter him one bit. It can be pouring rain out there and he’ll still want to go out. Kobi never minded the rain either, he’d be out just cruising around the yard getting soaking wet. Eventually I’d call him into the house and dry him off. I’ve given up trying to keep Luke in out of the rain. As long as it’s not thundering and lightning, he can got out all he wants. Luckily though, we also have the screened in porch, which he is starting to love, so he spent quite a bit of time out there too, finding everything he could to get into.
His enthusiasm is apparently contagious, and Sheba got up off the floor to see what he was up to out there.

I had their agility tunnel on the porch in it’s bag, I was working on my computer and realized I hadn’t checked on him for a few minutes. I went out on the porch, and what had he done? Somehow got the bag open (without chewing holes in it), and started pulling the tunnel out! Clearly he was trying to tell me something. So I pulled it out and we set it up on the porch.
In one door, through the tunnel, and out the other! This eventually got Cricket’s attention and she got up off the couch and went out to play as well!

When they were done playing, they decided to just hang out on the deck spying on the neighbors.
I went to my sister’s last night, and my hubby said that Luke just played in that tunnel all evening….this morning he was doing the same. The rain has now ended and the sun has come out, but doesn’t it just make me so happy that rainy days no longer get the girls (or me) down!
We are joining Ruckus the Eskie for his Sepia Saturday blog hop today. The only rules for this hop are that it be sepia related (pet or non-pet), and have fun! Grab the badge, link to the host, and join in the fun!
That’s awesome! My guys do not like the rain unless we are walking in it. Honestly, I swear they are labs!! And try to get them out to potty when it’s raining…I swear Sampson held it for 18 hours once, I was getting desperate!
That’s too funny. I don’t think any of our dogs have ever disliked rain. However, you won’t see me out there walking in it (I’m trying to change that but haven’t yet)!
It is great that Luke gets the others enthused. 🙂
It really is. It’s raining again right now and he and Sheba are tearing around the house creating quite the ruckus!
Hi there,
I have a surprise for wooooo!

I love the rain and that tunnel sure looks like fun 🙂 xxoxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Yay, another rain loving dog! Mollie, I know you would have fun in the tunnel with Luke!
xxxooo
That was smart of Luke to get the tunnel out! He is one clever pup!
He’s a bit too clever a lot of the time!! 🙂
I completely hate rain and will not go out in it. Its great to see what a younger dog can do to the dynamics of a household. Love Dolly
Luke has certainly added some enthusiasm to things around here….though he does wear us all out sometimes!
I know there are lots of dogs that don’t like rain, but we haven’t had one yet. Mom is really the only one that has a problem going out in it! 🙂
Nothing like a little puppy enthusiasm to get everyone in the house happy! Good job Luke.
Luke is always on top of things!
Loads of fun! Great pictures!
It certainly was….thank you!
Luke was clever to get the tunnel out! It looks like he had some fun, the photographs are great. I never care if it’s raining, my coat keeps me nice and dry. And my bipeds say that there’s nothing quite like the smell of wet dog – so everyone’s happy!
There certainly is no mistaking that wet dog smell!
Luke believes in making his own fun, and not waiting around for us to figure it out apparently!
Thanks for dropping by to see us today. It sure appears as if a lot of fun was had at your house. Hope efurryone at your house has a terrific weekend. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
You’re welcome! Luke constantly reminds us that we need to have more fun!
The expressions are wonderful, at least rainy weather is good for napping.
It’s good for sleeping in too when you wake up to it, right?
Luke may be too smart for his own good. I am going to have to get Bentley and Pierre a tunnel. I’ve seen them on so many blogs and all of the dogs seem to love them. What a fun way to spend a rainy day. The boys don’t care for the rain and if it’s thundering…forget about it! BOL! http://www.mkclinton.com
He’s definitely too smart for OUR own good….LOL!
The tunnel is definitely lots of fun for them. Sheba is the only one that won’t go in it yet, but the other two just love to run back and forth through it.
The girls don’t like thunder either. Luke hasn’t experienced a thunderstorm yet, I hope he won’t be afraid too….or at least only fearful enough to want to stay in the house!
We have been stuck inside with rainy weather lately too!
Good idea with the tunnel though!
My huskies all hate the rain! As do I, so it works out well!!!!
Have a great weekend!

I hope the sun has come back out for you by now too! It really was Luke’s idea to get the tunnel out….I wouldn’t have even thought of it. The girls don’t really mind the rain, but they know that I usually keep them inside when it’s raining. Luke was having none of that….LOL
now that was some mighty fine thinking Luke!
The wheels are always turning in that puppy brain!
Luke, you are one crazy dog! 🙂
And he’s proud of it too! LOL
you are more active than we are when it rains! We just snooze!
There’s very little snoozing when there’s a puppy in the house! LOL
That tunnel is a great “any time” activity but especially on a rainy day! Just ask Luke – he’ll agree with me!!
Hugs, Sammy
He definitely does agree with you, Sammy! Now I need to get our kitty Samantha out there playing in it too!
Puppies are so positive and happy, they improve everyone’s mood and get everyone motivated to do something. They are great!
They really are! Even though Luke has me pulling my hair out sometimes, he has been the best thing for all of us!
Wow! Luke sure knows how to make his own fun and what a great job he did of it!
He’s not one to sit around waiting for someone to entertain him!
