Yesterday we shared some of the Crew’s favorite things (link here), and today I’m sharing some of mine! These are my favorite things we have for them, and even one thing for myself (pet-related, of course).

Favorite Outdoor Gear
While we are not adventurers, we do like to spend a lot of time outside, either playing ball or other games in the yard, or exploring our own woods trails. Getting exercise and staying fit is important to all of us, human and dog. Anything that makes that easier is good in my book!
This year I finally got the crew raincoats, and I had them custom made by Made by De. I still love these coats, and I even had Cricket wearing hers in a snowstorm! She doesn’t need a coat for extra warmth, so I thought “why not”? It helped keep her drier! You can see more photos of the K9 Crew modeling their raincoats by clicking here.

Luke, however, does need the extra warmth and for cold and snowy days my favorite coat for him is still his Hurtta Summit Parka*. It gives him full coverage, on top and over his belly, and it really keeps him warm and dry. We plan to venture out for walks in snowstorms this year, and this coat will easily fit right over Luke’s harness and has a flap to attach the leash. We had been lucky to win this coat and we are on our third winter with it now! I noticed it now comes in a Camo and Orange color….hmmmm…..
When hooking the crew up to go out and about, I still love our Nifti SafeLatch Pet Safety Leash*. It is so easy to quickly attach, and it has been holding up well to a lot of use, even to Luke’s chewing on it when he’s excited about getting out the door! You can read our full review of that product by clicking here.

Favorites Around the House
I am also still loving our Brentwood Home Orthopedic pet bed*. It still looks brand new, and that’s even when Cricket has laid on it when she’s wet after being outdoors. The most I have done to clean it is run the vacuum over it, and there is not one dent or soft spot on it! While the dogs don’t sleep on it all the time, it still gets a lot of use. That use is mostly by Cricket which is what I wanted to help support her arthritic joints. You can read our full review of this bed by clicking here.

I love having photos and art of my pets hanging on the walls, and I’m always trying to add more things all the time. I hope to get another print from Simple Canvas Prints, this time one of Samantha. With sales and deals going on all the time, and the ease of creating art from your own photographs, I can see using this service many times. It’s the perfect gift to yourself for the holidays! Now, I only want one thing for Christmas for myself this year…and that’s the time to read my friend Jackie Bouchard’s newest book, “Stray Magic“. I know as soon as soon as I start reading it, nothing else will get done, and doing just that is going to be my gift to myself! I have read all her other books, and I know how much I’m going to enjoy this one too. So, look for my full review after the holidays, but having read her other books, I feel pretty safe recommending it now. 😊
You can find Jackie’s other books, along with those by my other favorite authors, in our Wag ‘n Woof Pets Amazon Influencer Store – just click here to see all of our favorites in many categories, and get some shopping done while you’re there! A great list you got there.
Great list! And having just completely Stray Magic I can heartily recommend it. It’s quite a fun read. 💞
So glad to hear that! We are traveling today so I might start reading it then (I can only read a little bit when riding but it will make the trip go faster if I can read off and on!).
Oh fabulous! I’ve been researching coats for Rye because she doesn’t have a double coat like Barley. I don’t worry as much on our walks because I can’t handle long cold walks, so they stay pretty short and she’s constantly moving, but in the yard, she likes to pick a tree and sit under it and wait for squirrels. I keep having to go out and carry her in because she refuses to come in and I refuse to have a puppy ice sculpture in my yard. That Hurtta parka is the one I was leaning towards, so I’m so glad to see someone I know loves it.
It’s that beagle obsessiveness….if Cricket loses the ball in the snow, she will not come in the house until she finds it! But at least she’s constantly moving. Luke likes to lie in the yard and chew on his ball, so having that belly coverage is especially important. I look forward to seeing cute photos of Rye in her new coat! 🙂
Another great list. I pinned Made by De. I don’t need anything right now; keeping it for future reference. Thanks.
You’re very welcome! With so much to choose from out on the internet, I love to be able to share some of my favorite companies that do quality work, especially small companies like De’s.
Any of those would make purrfect gifts!
Those are more awesome gifts! I love Bentley’s raincoat By De. She does such a job. We love all of your ideas for Christmas. Thanks for sharing!
You’re very welcome!
OMG The Brentwood Home bed is the ONLY bed Dakota has EVER used! (Trust me, we have tried and GIVEN AWAY tons!!!) We had reviewed all of Jackie’s other books but for some reason we weren’t asked to review this one. I am sure it is great!
You know it’s a keeper when a fussy dog like Dakota likes the bed! I’m so glad you found one he likes!
Great list Jan. We our loving our orthopedic bed too.
I did a quick Amazon shop the other day, and have a list of things to finish off this weekend. I can’t believe Christmas has crept up on us so quickly.
For a while it seems like you have all the time in the world, and then – boom! – it’s right around the corner! 🙂
Those jackets sure look nice and comfy!
I feel so much better about Luke being out in the cold with his thin fur when he has that nice coverage.
Great recommendations! I love that bed especially. 🙂
And it’s great for both dogs and cats!
I love the leash… the colors are super great and I like the hook, what makes totally sense… as i was a child we had hooks like this and another ones with a special system no one could open, I wonder why so much brands changed that system to the simple and common hooks what can be a PITA on cold days& what you can open accidentally if you have your hands at the wrong place… so 4 paws and a wagging tail for a really good &safe leash
I agree – what were they thinking with those hooks? We had many that would stick open too….you would think you had it latched but it really wasn’t!! I feel so much safer with these, and they are great in the winter when we have to wear gloves or our hands are just cold and don’t work well!
