The photo below was taken two days after Luke broke a nail. I’ve found out that you don’t always have to panic when a dog breaks a nail, though I did a little bit at first. Any injury like this that could potentially require a visit to the vet can be especially stressful when you have a dog as reactive as Luke is. Vet visits are a challenge, as I wrote about in our post “Luke’s Progress Report“.
I might have more of a care than Luke does here, since I had thrown that comforter over the bed to protect my brand new quilt from a potentially bleeding nail. He saw fit to move it around, and the back paw with the broken nail is barely or not at all on the cover! We got through the broken nail without a visit to the vet (and without getting blood on my quilt!), and on Monday I’ll tell you all the details about it; and why you probably don’t need to panic when your dog breaks a nail.
♥ We hope you have a wonderful weekend without a care in the world! ♥
