After spending time picking out Christmas gifts and reviewing fun toys so the K9 crew can get a chance to try out some new stuff, this is what I see Cricket with yesterday morning (the remnants of a wrapping paper roll, previously seen in our post “Favorite Photo Friday: “Naughty“):
Where are the nice West Paw toys we reviewed? Where are the Christmas gifts I picked out, like this adorable Kong Squirrel (*photo is affiliate link)?
Now I expect this kind of thing from Luke, but not from Cricket! Then, just to rub salt in the wound, Luke takes his turn with it and starts eating it, and they got bags of treats for Christmas too! Hundur’s Crunch Fish Treats* have to taste better than cardboard, don’t you think?!

I guess she told me! 🙂
It’s like kids and tupperware. There’s no reasonable explanation. LOL
Think of Cricket as your creative K9. She found and created her own toy.
Maybe she can help me out with some of my craft ideas for the farm! 🙂
They say one man’s garbage is another man’s treasure. It must be true!
Yes, indeed, good point! 🙂
Well I think at Christmas you can enjoy your gifts anyway you like!!
I love playing with the wrapping paper myself. Hope the holidays are fun for you and your family!
Lots of licks, your new friend Morrie 🙂
Tissue paper, wrapping paper, bows….there’s no end to the fun of Christmas! 🙂
MOL! We preferred playing with the tissue paper that our nice toys were wrapped in. 😉
So conceivably, a simple bag of tissue paper would be the perfect Christmas gift! 🙂
Tasty is in the paw of the beholder!
I think Brian nailed it. So funny and so true.
Agreed!!
Every time I see Honey chewing happily on a stick I wonder why we’ve spent so much money on toys.
At least Cricket knows how to amuse herself. 🙂
That’s the important thing, especially now since we’re in sub-zero temperatures and pretty much stuck indoors!
One toy for Christmas and they had to share. Haha, my dog would do the same thing.
They actually did get two toys, but one got quickly lost out in the snow! I suppose that’s my fault too though, I should have known that would happen! 🙂
Hahaha! Only the truth comes out of the mouths of dogs, right? Bentley is 10 and still gets into the bathroom garbage if we leave it in his reach.
Sometimes they just never grow up! LOL. Which is OK too, we want them to stay young at heart!
Haha that would be how it works in our house too!
the good news is…she knows what she likes. 🙂
So true, and whatever makes her happy, right?
