As Luke and I headed out on our walk earlier this week, we wondered “what is that bright light in the sky? Sunshine?? Is that blue sky….and green leaves popping out?”

After nothing but rain and gray skies lately, literally and metaphorically for us, this was a wonderful sight.
Luke was happy to pose on this rock in the sunshine!
As you can see in the next photo, we also wonder where our trail maintenance crew is. These trails are a mess! It’s like walking through a maze sometimes (and we won’t even discuss how many times the klutzy Momz trips over branches and logs…..).
Our first spring flowers have finally made their appearances as well, with daffodils and our lone hyacinth being the first splashes of color in a landscape that is finally turning from brown to green.

With sunshine and temperatures in the 60’s (at least on some days), it finally feels like spring is really here! What’s popping up for spring in your neck of the woods?
Thank you to our friends The LLB Gang for hosting the Nature Friday blog hop! Please visit them and other blogs through the links below.
Yesterday we got humid and that’s gross. Our spring was pretty cool and rainy, as I know yours was. I was hoping for some moderate weather before this stuff set it.
I do however, love the colors of spring.
We got the humidity as well, but it hasn’t been quite so bad here. But it’s been raining, raining, raining again! At least it’s a warm rain this time though. ๐
Beautiful sunshine! The flowers are looking pretty too!
Thank you!!
Sunshine and flowers?!? It is certainly spring on the farm. I love the chickens with the flowers.
I can’t seem to take flower photos anymore without having a chicken in there. LOL
Yay! Sunshine is good for spring flowers, peeps and pups.
And quickly growing green grass, much to the hubby’s dismay. LOL
Well, I’m glad I’m not the only Dog Mom who’s klutzy! Coming in from the back yard with Ducky last evening, I stepped right into the hole she’d been digging and landed on my hands and knees! No damage other than wounded pride, though.
Glad you finally have some sunshine, blue skies, and greenery popping out, along with warmer temps!! It’s been getting into the low 80s around here the last week or so.
We finally reached 70 degrees and more yesterday. Yahoo!!
Bella really blends in. It took me a few seconds to spot her. Have a wonderful weekend.
I know…that’s why I wanted to mention she was there, so people wouldn’t miss her! She’s like a black cat hiding places. ๐
Yay for Spring!!! How beautiful too see all the colors coming out!!
Nothing better than getting out in the sunshine with your mom and leaving pee-mail everywhere. Way to go, Luke.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your mom. โฅ
Luke was here and everyone must know it!! ๐
Hooray for sunshine, you look very happy Luke!
There is nothing more cheerful than seeing your first daffodils of the season and the scent of the hyacinth is always incredible and brings a smile to your face!
That hyacinth is not very strong smelling, I had to crawl on the ground to try to smell it, and nothing! ๐
I love it. Hyacinths are one of my favorites, love the smell!
I used to have little mini ones at the other house, this is the first big one I’ve seen. It doesn’t seem to smell very strong though.
Our lilacs are finally starting to bloom, they’re my favorite.
Mine too! Ours are just budding now, but there are TONS of buds. I can’t wait!
Well here in Australia it is supposed to be turning to winter soon. We’ve had an extended summmer and a few of my plants have flowered in the wrong season. The last couple of weeks has been endless rain which has been good because my lawn was very brown.
The thought of winter makes me sad for you, but it sounds like you at least had a nice long summer, even if too dry at first.
we have sadly no luck with peonies but i can not wait to see yours in some weeks (or days?) . we had the same mess in our forests with the trails. the community gave permission to people to keep the firewood for free when they clean it up and remove the trash everywhere… good idea a win for all
The peonies are growing fast, but I think it will still be a while before we have flowers.
That is a great idea for your community!
Still not many flowers here, but as of today, we are supposed to be seeing more sunshine and warmer weather. Just a couple hours from here they got 9 inches of snow this week. Lucky for us, we only saw a few flakes. Enjoy your spring and flowers.
Following your FB lately, it sounds like you’ve had a crazy spring there too!
We love it when the flowers come out from, as it seems, nowhere ๐ Thanks for the beautiful walk around, Luke and Bella <3 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend๐พ๐ฝ๐
We’re so glad you enjoyed our little tour! โฅ
The birds don’t eat the flowers? Can you tell I’ve been around the block with Bear quite a few times … ?
They do eat some of them, the hosta lilies are their favorite. But they don’t eat any blooms, just the plants.
