“I will just be sitting or lying here, sometimes whining, until Christmas. I know my gifts are in that room and I want them NOW.”
Cabin Fever continues…and even though we still have our walk most days, Luke is bored and fidgety lately! We got a package with Christmas gifts for he and Sam in it. When he was not looking, I took the gifts out of the Chewy box and put them in a bag, and then into the laundry room. Somehow, even with the door closed, he KNEW, and he proceeded to sit outside that door and whine. I actually took an old toy that he hadn’t seen for a while and put it in there, so I could produce it next time he whined. How bad is it when your dog is so smart (or has such a good nose – he knows the smell of new toys), you have to try to fool them? 🙂

Ducky smells Squirrel! even from inside the house. She’ll be laying on one of the dog beds in the living room – seemingly sound asleep – and all of a sudden jump up barking like crazy to go outside. As soon as I open that door, she’s out like a flash and running around the tree, barking at the sky or sniffing the roots of the tree. 🤣🤣
Luke can smell the deer outside when the house is closed up. Their noses are so amazing!!
BOL I has not realized anything is under da tree buts Tilda has already found her present at the back of da tree and keeps pawing at it.
xoxo,
Matt & Matilda
Uh-oh, we hope Matilda doesn’t get too carried away, and that Santa doesn’t see her! BOL
xxoo
You can’t fool a hound’s nose! BOL! Bentley can smell when I bring things into the house too. They also stalk Skipper’s office when he is taking product photos.
I can just imagine! I’m sure Skipper needs an office with a door he can close, and maybe even a lock! BOL
Handsome and sweet ~ rearing to go ^_^
Happy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
And to you!!
Oh Luke, you are so smart! We are all getting impatient waiting for the big day!
Who knew dogs would be just like kids? 🙂
Luke is a smart boy.
And doesn’t he know it. LOL!
I am sure there is a scent that smells just like his favorite toy or snack. Great image. Have a blessed week.
Thank you! It just amazes me that he knows the smell of toys!
That is hilarious that he KNOWS!!! I’ve often thought that toy manufacturers put some incredibly dog-attractive scent on toys so that dogs will grab them off the shelf in the pet shop. Maybe that’s how he knows!
I think you must be right about that! Though I had something else that seemed to attract him too, that was not a dog toy or food, just a silicone dish scrubber. He was obsessed with that thing! LOL
He’s a smarty pants. Great picture.
Thank you!!
They are way smarter than we give them credit at times. He’s a handsome one too.
Thanks for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a woof woof Wordless Wednesday, Luke. My best to your mom. ♥
Too smart for their own good sometimes, too, right? LOL
♥
It won’t be long now handsome Luke!
Almost there!!
Luke we are with you… we got a parcel today too and now we have to wait… scandalous… do we look like waiters?
Absolutely not!! Why do them torment us so?
Woofs, Luke
Poor Luke. Mom is thankful we never seem to be bored around here. We either have something to do, or we are sleeping. Hope Christmas comes fast so you can get your gifts.
Luckily we have two toy boxes full of toys to try to get him through to Christmas. Unfortunately, he’d prefer to get a new toy every day though! 🙂
