When we saw our friend Bailie at MyGBGVLife recently get a GoDog Furballz toy for her birthday, I remembered when we used to have some of those brightly colored fun dog toys. That was back when our golden retriever Sheba was still with us, and between her and Luke they ultimately got destroyed. These toys are made with ChewGuard technology, so lasted longer than others, but Sheba was a master at destroying just about any toy you gave her, and she taught Luke well.

It then occurred to me that I hadn’t gotten Luke any new toys for a while, probably not since Christmas. It used to be that he would only play with a toy when it was new, and then lose interest, but these days he has some favorites, like his Duckworth Ducks* that he still gets out, but most are in pretty rough shape. He’s not quite as destructive as he used to be, so I thought we might give this GoDog toy another try. I love the bright colors of the Rainbow Furballz*, and Luke loves it as well. Plus we got a two-pack, so if he does destroy it, we have a backup!
It is so much fun to see his joy when I give him a new toy. He barely put it down the first night, and I think he’s picked it up and romped around with it at least once every day since. It’s definitely a hit, and I’m so glad I got it for him! All good toys end up with him in his crate. 🙂

We love these, too! Rye has a huge one that has a small hole in it–and I haven’t stitched it back up because her favorite activity is to destuff it and leave fluff all over the room. Then I restuff it and she repeats the process again another day. Thankfully, she doesn’t have any interest in eating the fluff, so I don’t mind her playing that way 🙂 I’m glad Luke is getting to enjoy one, too!
I do that with toys sometimes too! When Luke was younger, he used to eat it, but luckily he seems to have outgrown that.

Oh, Luke. You are just too sweet! Though if you and Bear got together, no toy would be safe! I started making some for him because he’s very hard on the store-bought ones.

Our Furballz are our favorite toys! They are super durable!!

My brother says Boozy still loves the rainbow Furballz I got for him when I was staying with them last year. It immediately became Boozy’s favorite toy the day I gave it to him. Glad that Luke loves his new toy, too!! Maybe it’s time to give Ducky one, too.
