“New Toy Day” isn’t really a thing, though Luke would like it to be; only he would want it to be every day! Nothing gets him quite as excited as a new toy (well, maybe a walk…or a treat….or one of us coming home….).
I had a gift card from Christmas for our local feed and supply store so I decided to get him a couple of new toys with part of it. He really seems to like this SPOT Vermont Fleece toy* (affiliate link). They call it a duck but with it’s long neck I think it looks more like a goose! Follow the fun…..

Now all that’s left to wonder is what the life expectancy for poor Mr. Goose is now that he belongs to Luke. π
We are pleased to be joining our friends atΒ Comedy PlusΒ for theΒ Happy TuesdayΒ blog hop! Please visit them and other blogs through the links below.
A new toy makes the day extra pawsome!
It certainly does!
We know that Luke has good taste. The duck stuffy he recommended has been a big hit with my dogs – we bought 3!
Luke is so excited you took his recommendation and it was a hit there too!
Oh yes, the ducks are quite favored. Thank you, Luke! https://peacewithmylife.com/2019/03/04/what-the-duck/
Love it!! Such cute, cute pics of Luke and his goose!! Maybe it will just be his friend he will cart around?? Guess he didn’t smile because he takes his toys seriously! Makes him seriously happy! π
Yes, toys are definitely serious business to him, and serious fun! π
We want a new toy day!! Your goose is adorable but you might not want the chickens or guineas to see it.
We definitely don’t want to offend them!! π
You’re totally right, it does look more like a goose! LOL! Luke sure looks like he had fun with it, though!
Thanks….there was some debate going on, hubby said it was a duck. LOL
We give it a couple days…BOL MOL Enjoy your new Gooosey baby Luke π

Matt & Matilda
You called that right! But it sure was fun while it lasted!! π
We need to get some new toys here too – Our crew would love that goose, and there’s no way it would live long around here. Only cats do, and that’s because they have 9 lives! :-)!!!
–Hope you’re having a good week!!
Mr. Goose didn’t last too long either, though often the “carcass” is one of Luke’s favorite things to play with! His Christmas duck is completely de-stuffed and torn apart and he still runs around with it! π
It was a crazy week here, but all ended on a good note!
That looks like a fun new toy. It sure is big.
The bigger the better! π
Love, Luke
We hope your goose lasts awhile, Luke. If we could, we send over one of the geese that’s in our yard.
Oh, we bet you would!!! LOL. Maybe we should send Luke over there…he’d be happy to clear out your whole flock!
Donβt you just love getting new toys? Enjoy!
It’s the best! Thank you!
Love, Luke
That is a darling toy! When Dakota was younger the fleece toys were his favorites!
Luke loves the fleece, and I feel like it’s a more natural material than other things, though I know it’s probably really not.
That reminds me, we used to get the best fleece toys from Drs. Foster & Smith online. (they’ve since closed down). They were really cheap so we had quite a collection; Sheba was a destroyer too so it worked out well to be able to find cheap ones!
Well doesn’t that guy fit right in on your farm.
Right?! I told Momz we need some real geese too. π
Have a blast with your new Goose, Luke!!

New Toy day is a big hit at our house too. Although, it doesn’t always last too long. The dogs got new toys at Christmas, enjoyed them for a bit and stopped. Suddenly, Sampson JUMPED up, grabbed the toy, ran a couple of steps and tossed it. Then he plopped back down. We looked at each other and laughed, the old boy still has it at times.
How long does the toy last at your house? Do you worry about giving Luke a bird with all the real birds around your place?
I love that! It’s always especially fun to see the seniors playing with toys (even if it’s short-lived!).
Um…that toy has already had a squeakerectomy (I retrieved the squeaker), and our floor was covered with stuffing last night! But Luke will continue to play with it – in fact, he seems to life the “half dead” toys the best. LOL
I deliberately did not get him the chicken toy for just that reason! Though I can’t imagine he’d relate a stuffed one to the real thing….but who knows, these dogs can be quite smart at times. Better safe than sorry!
Luke you lucky dog, you got a new toy. Don’t tear your new toy apart. Have fun with your goose.
My cat Daisy Mae got a new toy yesterday too.
Whoops….too late. π
We bet Daisy Mae was much nicer to her toy!
Oh Luke, lucky you, you look so happy!
Does your goose squeak, Luke? Our Little Bit loves anything that squeaked. Such fun. You’re such a handsome pup. I know your new goose makes you happy.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Luke. My best to your wonderful mom. β₯
Well, he did squeak….originally. But after I performed the squeakectomy, Momz took it away! But I’m still having fun just pulling stuffing out of it (Momz says she does not know how they jam so much stuffing into one little toy….BOL).
Love, Luke
Aw, new toys are the best fun! Ducky loves new toys, too, Luke! π
Oh, the fun me and Ducky could have together!
Love, Luke
oh is that the goose what lays golden eggs? wow! you will be rich in zilch!
If only!!!!
He is cute, but he would get dirty pretty fast. Maybe if Luke is a destroyer, the goose won’t live long enough to get dirty!
Yup, I think you called that one about right!!
Winter is boring for an enterprising pup like Luke!
It sure is!!
New toys are always so much fun and especially new stuffies! Love your goose, Luke!
Luke likes stuffies the best, but I think that’s because he enjoys the de-stuffing so much! π
Life expectancy of toys here ranges from 2 minutes to maybe 2 days, BOL!
Luke is going to have fun with his Goose!
That’s about what it is around here too! π
