Luke wants to remind our American readers to do your patriotic duty today and get out there and vote!

We are all about being patriotic here, as you can tell from our guest bedroom decor (please excuse the unfinished walls & ceiling!). My Dad served in the Navy and was very proud of it, and I was brought up to love my country. Dad followed politics and I became interested as well once I was a bit older. We don’t get involved in politics here on the blog (I won’t even on Facebook), but no matter which candidates you support your vote does count and it’s important that you have your voice heard.

No matter whether your man or woman wins, remember this country is a democracy and that’s the way it works! We wouldn’t like the alternative. We might not be happy with how it turns out but we have to accept it. I hope all Americans can do that after this very contentious election. Let’s face it, we’ll all be a little relieved when it’s over, won’t we?

Luke says he’ll be happy that maybe the Momz won’t be muttering at the TV quite so much every time one of those political ads or the news comes on. Well, depending on how it comes out; there might still be muttering at the news. 🙂
Very patriotic of you Luke. I LOVE the quilt! 🙂 Actually we are a constitutionally limited representative Republic rather than a democracy. Since I am late and the election is over, it is worth remembering because I think people forget.
Really? I’m not sure I knew that – did they teach me that in school and I forgot? 🙂
You look so cute and patriotic. I voted 🙂
Love the room! I love anything patriotic as well! My dad was in the army.
My humans voted early because my daddy works out of town during the week . . . and so that they could start ignoring the news. We’re thinking of watching a movie tonight as the votes roll in. 😉
The mom voted and came home and put the sticker on my head. I was not amused. ~Ernie
Politics is one thing my mom won’t participate in. It makes us crazy around here with all the stupid stuff that goes on. Love your patriotic decorations.
The Mom and Dad voted today but unfortunately the 2020 campaigning starts tomorrow.
We have voted already and there weren’t even any long lines! I think it is the time that we went because I know so many people are voting in this election.
Dog-daddy and I will be voting in a little while. Not to rush the day along, but I’ll be glad when all the polls are closed and the votes counted. No matter who wins, I keep reminding myself of FDR’s words: “This nation will endure as it has endured….”
This election is so very important for ALL of us – here in the USA AND around the world. I hope that everyone who is eligible to vote will do so before the polls close tonight!!!
PS. I LOVE the patriotic decor of the guest bedroom!!
Thank you for the reminder Luke! My mom hates politics so much, this election started to make her nervous. But, she does still vote! Love Dolly
Perfect post and we LOVE your decor and attitude!
