It was just over a month ago when I posted some photos of Cricket soaking up the sun inside the dining room. Even though our weather has taken a turn for the worst the last week, we did have a few nice days and she was able to move her sun soaking to out on the deck.
If the weathermen are right, hopefully we’ll be back to that by the middle of this week!
I’ve been playing with my Photoshop Elements some more, and this time I used the Black & White – Platinum effect. I’m also pretty proud of myself for learning how to watermark a group of photos. It took some time and some cursing, but I’m starting to get the hang of it. 🙂
We are joining the Black and White Sunday blog hop hosted by Sugar the Golden Retriever and Dachshund Nola. Please visit other blogs through the links below.
Awe so sweet! Hooray for figuring out elements!
They’re lovely photos! I always choose to relax in the shade if I can.
Our golden retriever, Sheba, also prefers the shade!
she was very very tired.
She looks so peaceful soaking in rays.
Aw great photos! And yes you should be proud of yourself!!!!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Beagles do seem to love the warmth. I’ve fostered a few, but always in the winter when it’s gray and dreary. So I never saw anyone in sun spots, like Cricket. But I got a few shots of foster pups worshipping the space heater.
That’s a lovely shot.
Thank you! In the winter, in front of the wood stove is Cricket’s favorite spot. Beagles are definitely heat worshipers!
She looks very content in the photos 🙂 I’ve been trying to use my Adobe Premiere Elements but the dang thing will not even open… I should probably learn how to watermark a group of photos too but for now I just do them all individually.
I still watermark individually a lot too. When you do it in groups, it has to go in the same spot on each photo, and be the same color, so it doesn’t always work. I like to add a little variety to my watermarking! 🙂
It looks like Cricket has been spending her time the same way Soth has been! It’s been chilly outside, but the sun coming through our front window has kept our living room nice and warm, so he’s been sprawling in the sunlight on the carpet.
Beagles definitely have a lot in common with cats! The love of warmth along with that independent spirit. 🙂
I can relate with Cricket. I was so bummed yesterday I had to turn the heat on – yuck! My fingers are crossed that we both get back on track this coming week.
She looks relaxed. TW loves her PhotoShop even though she’s teaching herself.
Thank you for sharing what effect you used. What a great picture!
Sitting in the sun is probably our favorite thing to do…next to eating, of course. 🙂
We hope the sun shines here this week too.
I love a good sun puddle too! Photoshop is hard, but once you learn something it is such a great feeling. Trust me, I know…my photographer is always struggling with it.
She looks like she is communicating with the mother ship. Dogs always find the warmest spot in the house or yard.
Hi Y’all!
Love sun bathing. Feels so good, especially now that I’m gettin’ older.
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
What is better than sunbathing as a dog??

Cricket sure does show a love for the sunbeam! You can really tell how good it feels. Congratulations on the Photoshop. It is so much fun
the photos look great, Jan! Cricket seems very happy basking in some sun. I’ve been playing around in Picmonkey for awhile now but haven’t tackled Photoshop. Is Elements easy to use? It was suggested to me to purchase – much less expensive than the comprehensive Photoshop with features that should take care of what I’d need to do. Would love feedback. Thanks!
Thank you, Jody! Now if we could just get that sunshine back! 🙂
I’m not really finding Elements easy to use, but I also haven’t sat down and really spent a lot of time with it either. There is definitely good help out there, and in the cases where I’ve sat down and read those or watched a video it’s made it easier. It really does a lot, and I just need to take time to figure it all out.
It was also suggested to me by a relative that does some professional photography. At the time I got it, it was on special for only $70 which seemed like a really good deal to me. Let me know if you decide to try it, maybe we can help each other!
thanks. ok I will let you know. $70 is a great deal. Could def use some support. For now, Picmonkey seems to allow me to do most of what I need and it’s easy to use.
we have to grab every sun ray, right… like that Captain Jack Sparrow said: take what you can and give nothing back :o) have a super sunday!
Hoping that the sun comes and smiles on you again soon!
Veruca often sits just like that on our porch. Hope we get see the sun again soon.
Me too, Mark, me too….things are looking better by Tuesday, fingers crossed!
It’s sunny here in Michigan today (ready for this? I actually wanted it to rain because I have so much blogging work to do that it is unreal and the sun is distracting me! lol) Will send ours your way!
I am getting more done inside without that distracting sun, but I’d still rather be out basking in the sun with Cricket! 🙂
We’ll be waiting for yours to arrive….
Hope it’s nice and sunny for you soon Cricket.
The pix of Cricket look great – even on an iPhone! I can’t wait to see them on the laptop!
I hope you guys — and everyone else above the Mason-Dixon Line get some nice weather now! We had a few beautiful days before yesterday’s rain, and it looks like we’re gonna get some more starting today.
Thank you for the good wishes for nicer weather! They are telling us now that things will start to improve on Tuesday. Let’s just hope they’re right (for a change)!
Weather forecasters are the only people I can think of who can be wrong 100% of the time and still keep their jobs. Must be nice.
