We finally got a sunny day!!
The whole family and farm couldn’t wait to get outside and enjoy it on Sunday. However, as predicted, we don’t have a lot of colorful foliage. I’m not sure if all the rain and wind washed it all away, or if it’s just yet to come. If it gets better, I’ll be sure to get more photos, but for now I thought I’d share some of the color we could find, and some shots from around the farm. We got a frost the previous night, so the morning was chilly. Luke and I postponed our walk for a bit, and by the time we got out the sun was warming things up.
When Luke and I got back from our walk, we let the birds out to free range. They were quite excited about the sunshine too!

A sunny fall day is always beautiful. I’m glad the chicken on the right is ok, she looks a bit awkward.
Oh my gosh, the first time some of them started sprawling out like that, I thought there was something wrong with them! I never knew chickens would relax in such odd positions!

You still have more color than we do. I am beginning to think we are not going to have a fall this year.
It really hasn’t been much of one here, not compared to other years. But we take what we can get, and any sunshine is much appreciated these days!

Sorry, we don’t have any to spare. LOL! Hope you did finally get some too…we really have been seeing a little more lately (though there’s still been plenty of rain and clouds in between).
You have the coolest chickens EVER! I love they hang out on the porch like Luke. LOL!
I think they might even have Luke beat as far as finding oddly comfortable positions! LOL
I’m a little jealous, it’s still pretty green around here. Hopefully we will see some color in our trees before all the leaves fall!
I hope you do! Our colors have been pretty spotty, and there are a lot of leaves down already. The rain and wind have done us no favors!

Whoa…looks pretty colorful to me. Glad you had a lovely day outdoors. It snowed most of the day here and was quite cold. Today we’re back to sunny blue skies and warmer temps. I love the yo-yo autumn season in the Rocky Mountains!
We did finally see our first snow too, but luckily it was only a very small amount. 🙂
Congratulations you finally got Fall sunshine. Wish we had Fall Sunshine. Your Fall leaves are more bright and beautiful than ours. I think we got to much rain here my little town in Pennsylvania.
Considering all the rain we’ve had, I think we were definitely lucky to get any color at all!

I always love shots against the blue sky, and the reds are my favorites. That’s probably because they are the least common, but we do have some particularly pretty bushes.
I love that last image! We have sunshine, but currently it’s 23 outside. Too cold for this woman.
BRRRRR! We went below freezing one morning and it snowed a little bit. That was enough for me!

We had a little sunshine, but it has been real cold, and yesterday we had snow all morning. Snow beats rain for us any day, so we enjoyed that! Your leaves look really nice!
I knew you’d be happy about that snow you got! We only got a dusting one morning so far.
