Our December Pet Treater subscription box was Christmas themed, of course, but my plan to save it for Christmas morning was thwarted by Luke. He knows what that colorful box is. After ours was delivered, I set it on the kitchen counter and sat down to do some work on my computer. Luke had other ideas:
Of course, I caved. Who could resist that adorable face, and that persistence? What you probably can’t hear in the video is the occasional whine, just to remind me in case I wasn’t getting it, that he wanted something. I edited the video, so he was able to keep that up for even longer than you see. I put my work aside, grabbed the camera, and we dove in. We can always count on at least two toys in every box. Luke wants them all, and he and Sheba have a little routine. He’ll take one toy, then drop it for the other one, and Sheba will pick it up. Then he’ll want the toy Sheba has, and they’ll switch.
Sheba ended up happily with the cotton rope Elephant Dog Toy from Kikkerland, while Luke checked out the colorful Christmas monkey from Multipet*. The truth is neither of these toys were a huge hit, though I don’t know why. It’s sometimes hard to predict what these guys will love! Then again, sometimes they ignore things and later on they become a favorite.
Luke would have been wise to continue playing with those toys, because when he stopped I had to try out the Plush Puppies Holiday Antlers*! Luke thought they were a toy, and he wasn’t too thrilled to find out they were an accessory.

We made it easier by digging out some of the treats that came in the box, and the Exclusively Dog Meatloaf Slices* made things much better. I only put the antlers on him for short times…treat, antlers, treat, photo, treat, take them off. I got one good photo but I’m saving that for our Christmas card.
It looks like I’ll be doing some baking on Christmas Eve, the Puppy Cake Holiday Cookie Mix comes with a cookie cutter inside, plus it’s made in the USA with healthy ingredients. Easier than homemade! The crew is still waiting to split the yummy Santa cookie. They love the all natural, made in USA treats we get each month from Emmy’s Treats.
Luke was still happy with his box, in spite of the antlers, and he was so filled with the Christmas spirit he decided to share this fancy suede VIP Pet Throw with his kitty sister Samantha! Sam seemed a bit unsure at first, but eventually she made herself comfy on it, and she has been sleeping on it every night since!

As always, Pet Treater doesn’t forget the Momz, and I got these cozy socks. Cozy has been our theme on Instagram lately, so these fit right in!

Once again, Pet Treater has delivered fun, and it’s no wonder Luke can’t wait to dive into that box every time. Have you tried it yet?
Subscriptions start at $24.99 and go down to $19.99 for a 12 month subscription, and others are available in between. The subscriptions auto renew, but you can cancel at any time. They even have a one time box for $34.99 if you want to give it a try before committing. Email a photo of your pet enjoying their goodies to social@pettreater.com and your dog could be their next PET OF THE MONTH.
Be sure to use the discount codes! You can choose between receiving a free bed with the code above (available only with the purchase of a subscription), or getting $5.00 off your first box: code LOVE-PT5.
For every purchase of a box, Pet Treater will donate a bed, blanket, or toy to a local shelter dog or cat. You can follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
What a great box they sure don’t disappoint
Now that’s a box of goodies we could get behind. Looks like real quality stuff too!
That looks like a fun box.
I should have gotten that one, dang it. Ducky could have had a blast ripping the antlers apart after I took the pix. Oh well. Luke and Sheba look content to be playing with the toys.
Luke wanted at those antlers so bad! They look so cute on him though, I’m keeping them for future Christmases. 🙂
Samantha, forget all that dog stuff. I’m glad you got such a cozy blanket.
She LOVES that blanket! She had been sleeping in the chair for a while, but since I put the blanket on the futon she’s on it every night.
That VIP blanket looks very cozy, and so do your socks!!
We’re all about the cozy during the winter around here. 🙂
Soth and Sam really are twins 😉 Luke looks adorable in his antlers even if he wasn’t thrilled with them. Rye goes and finds her antlers and brings them to me to put them on–I think I’m going to like having a pup I can dress up!
They’re like yin and yang, right? 🙂
Oh, you are so lucky Rye loves the antlers! Luke loves bandanas, coats, sweaters, but he is not too crazy about things on his head. We’ll keep working on it with treats though…he really does like being a model. He gets excited when he sees the camera come out!
That is a very nice box of goodies! We love it when fun packages arrive too!
I love that we got to see the whole crew (love the picture of Cricket in front of the fire). And Sam is DEFINITELY the VIP 😉
Or maybe that should be VIC, right? 🙂
What a great Christmas box of goodies. Enjoy!
Boxes come and go, and there are so many, but this one really seems to have the best stuff of all! Enjoy!
We’ve gotten tired of all the other ones we tried, but this one just keeps the fun going month after month!
What great boxes! Those rope toys make for the best dental floss tools. We love them around the “Ranch.”
This one is really tightly wound too, and I like that. There aren’t any loose pieces hanging off, which seems to make it even better I think.
Any time I can get the dogs to do ‘flossing’ and reduce the time I have to wrestle with a dog and a toothbrush, I’m all in. I’m gonna look for this at the pet store!
the christmas monkey is cute… and I love the throw… it’s made for a Princess like your Sam :o)
